He had a great year. There teams that would love to have him as their OC.
He had a lot of toys to play with yet folded like a lawn chair in the divisional round....again.

No he didn't, the offensive line did. He can only tell them what to do, he can't do it for them. This loss is obviously on the line, not Garrett. He didn't call a very different game from the last few weeks, he was just limited by a team that was killing his qb and taking away options.

if we had this board in 91 do you think everyone would have wanted Jimmy, norv and wandstedt fired?

Cause if they had been how would history be different.

THis is just part of the progress, it stinks today but we have a great group of guys here who I think are going to get better.

If we had gone 1-15(1989) two years ago instead of 13-3(2007) then I would be very happy with an 11-5. Going from 1-15 to what we did in 91 was progress. We took a giant leap backwards last year and only a small step forward this year. We were just dismantled to end a season for the second year in a row. Wade has had three seasons and has not gotten the job done

For some reason it feels like this spells the end of Jason Garrett, not Wade Phillips.

One can only hope.

Giving up on a team because of one playoff loss is rather goofy, silly and the exact kind of fair weather crap that other teams fans make fun of.

Ummm, I can't stop paying for tickets and STILL retain my loyalty to the team? Interesting concept.

I've been a fan through thick and thin. Sat in full stadiums, and ones where I had my pick of seats. I've refused to attend games and let tickets go unused because I was sick of watching piss-poor performance.

But I can assure you, I'll always been a Cowboy fan, EXCLUSIVELY. Dosen't mean I won't ***** about going on a decade and a half of LOOOOOOSING. That **** is getting old, about TEN YEARS AGO!

that guy is a complete tool. Do yourself a favor and put him on ignore like I did.

I wish I couldnt see what he says when he is quoted!

he is the worst of the worst kind of fans and unfortunately the cowboys have alot of them.

:laugh2:

Trust me jackace, the feeling is 110% mutual! I wouldn't pee on you if you were on fire.

I remember saying prior to the first playoff game that it would take a pretty bad loss for wade not to be back.

This loss might be it, but I kind of doubt it.

I remember that as well and agree that this likely wasn't quite bad enough.

Hehehehe, Jerry must really have a high tolerance for pain if this loss isn't bad enough. How many more points do the Vikings need to score ???

Yeah, I don't think this was as bad as the final score would indicate. This was ultimately a two-possession game in which the opponent simply took it to us and would not allow us to tighten the deficit. It then got away from us late with the forced passes, turnovers on downs, etc.

Moving forward, I think we have two fundamental things to figure out offensively: What role, if any, does Barber serve here? He served as nothing but a progress stopper today. And what kind of adjustments can we make when a defensive line is better than our OL?

Yup, and the Vikings are a very different team than the Eagles - Garrett failed to adjust.

With my luck 35-3 would have sent Wade down the street kicking rocks while 34-3 will bring him back with a raise.

Hopefully Jerry will get drunk tonight and it will end with Phillips getting **** canned.

...Here Jerry

Felix needs to be our starter, with Choice as our wildcat/change of pace/break back. Trade Marion to improve our Oline.

OC, yes, Head Coach... ? He hasn't been asked to interview anywhere.

This is Wade's team for a couple more years than it will be Garrett's.

We'd have to totally fall apart next year to alter that path.

I'm not sure I'd agree with that. I think Wade has earned himself another year and nothing more.

This just wasn't that bad. We were, for much of the game, one big play away from a one-score game. The O-line was awful. If it's bloodshed you're after, you may get to taste Houck's but I expect that's about it.

Yeah. I'd say we need a kicker, some competition on the O-line and maybe a new O-line coach, and, for the first time, I think it might be a good idea to trade Barber and go with Jones and Choice.
