Jerry's numbers for a tradeup...

I'm not saying he did say this because I didn't hear it... but if you are right Jerry said he wanted to move up 6 or 7 places to get a WOW offensive player, then he is probably talking about Marshawn Lynch.

We are at #22. It looks like Lynch probably goes at #16 to Green Bay.... which is 6 spots ahead of us. So it sure sounds to me that based on what he said we was probably talking about moving up and getting Lynch before the Packers take him.

Absolutely. Everyone around here is running around like a chicken with thier heads cut off dreaming of getting Adrian Peterson. No way Jerry gives up the farm to move up to get Peterson. GET IT OUT OF YOUR HEADS PEOPLE.

If Jerry is talking about a RB, its Marshawn Lynch !!! Lynch is a helluva player, has over a 6 yard AVERAGE in his college career, and get this, has NEVER, EVER fumbled a ball in his entire Cal career.

He would have an immediate impact on our team.

If you hear "There's been a trade" on draft day, and the cowboys move up, I guarantee you, you will hear the name Marshawn Lynch.

I also like Lynch ...... and I think he will last longer in this league

Lynch is not even close to a WOW player. As was pointed out, in most years he would barely be a first rd pick. Its that this year the RB class is so week that he gets the #2 slot by default.

Teams know we want BPA...if we wanted a BPA wideout we can chill where we are at, but if we moved up I think teams would know we were gunning for Peterson, and in that case, we might have to give up MORE because they know we want him so badly...honestly, we don't don't want any of the other players availible there besides Willis, (he would be awesome for us, he can play 3-4, but we don''t need him.) or Landry.

I say, maybe trade down and get more picks, stockipile them, and package them for a trade to move up next year to get Mcfadden. (that will never, ever happen though) :(

I thought this whole thing was just a smoke screen by Jerry:confused:

I just don't see us moving up at all, if anything, Jones will do his best to try to trade down, if he can find a trading partner and if the price is right, but I just don't see us going up, too costly.

Seriously, how will it help us to get Peterson. It will cost this years 1st, this years second and probably another 1st rounder next year to trade up to into the top ten. Could someone explain to me how that helps our defense which allowed over 30 points a game the last 5 weeks. We were 13th in rushing. Thats not that bad. We have bigger needs at corner, safety, offensive tackle, nose tackle, wide reciever, outside linebacker.... You get the point. Why waste so much trading up to get someone we don't really need.
