Jerry's Outside Sources

I hope he is listening to his guys in house who are actually close to this siuation.

I wonder how many of them will be honest and tell Jerry, The Owner that he needs to fire Jerry, The General Manager.

He made a pretty good recommendation on the Demarco fellow. :)
I will admit he still has an eye for talent, especially at the RB position.

That is one Jerry used to talk to for sure. Especially at the Scouting Combines. They always got together.

Al may have been a little whacky late in life but he was a truly revolutionary football mind.

If only the guy who runs our team from socks to jocks had a vision and football knowhow that he was able to problem solve on his own.

I have no problem with seeking advice from others. It's useless though if you don't have a clear vision of what you want. Jerry will do what he normally does - listen to whomever he last spoke with. Hopefully that guy, whoever it is, has a clue.

I do know one who has. I will leave it at that though.

You know, of all the NFL guys who get bashed, I think when people bash Al it bothers me most. He got old. What choice did he have there? We all get old.

The one thing Al did that I think hurt the Raiders is the thing way too many fans here want. Constant coaching changes rather than building something.

Ron Wolf, Mike Holmgren, Barry Switzer, Larry Lacewell, Bill Belichick, Bill Parcells.

These few have been reported over the last couple of years.

Jimmy Johnson surprise anyone..?

I'd like to see Johnson back in some form of a team consultant or something.

We could use the tough attitude and leadership for a change. How about the Jimster as our GM..?

That would be interesting.

It should be Jimmy Johnson. He won't be afraid to tell Jerry what needs to happen.

gotta figure Dan Reeves...he actually hired him for that reason for 3 days before Reeves quit on him:rolleyes:

I agree. However Al should have turned over control of the draft a decade or so earlier. I do think he should have kept Gruden, and possibly even Callahan.

...maybe IF the playoffs were over Belichick would return a call....MAYBE. But they're still playing and he has NO time for Al Jr. and his senility. Barry SWITZER? The bootleggers boy?:laugh1: ......send in the clowns eh?

The others are solid but averge 70 years old.....not ONE guy in his prime. Is it ANY wonder this team/organization has been steered into the ice berg? The Titanic analogy is apt.:banghead:

.........IF you're competent, you realize your gettting old and losing it and DELEGATE. Meaning, YOU HIRE A NEW FRONT OFFICE INCLUDING A GM AND LET THEM DO THEIR JOBS....it's what lil' dan did in DC and it's working out just fine. You should KNOW that as a foreskins fan, which leads me to believe you're either A)trolling or B)not too bright:laugh2:

..........you are a great FAN but your opinion on this topic is just BRUTAL. No CRAP we all get old. WE also realize our limitations and do the right thing. JJ has never gotten that memo. He's too narcissistic and egotistical to consider what's in the BEST interest of the team AND IT'S FANS.

Year in and year out he continues to try and dig his way out of the .500 hole his team has slid into DUE TO HIS MALFEASANCE and will not and can not admit he simply can't figure it out. No shame in that for crying out loud.....look what lil' dan has done in DC...delegate, do it smartly and WIN.....and we all win.

To keep doing the same thing over and over and over to no avail is the very definition of insanity, as is the blind loyalty of fans who don't see anything wrong with the dysfunctionality of it all.
