Andre Dyson is slow... Do we really need another Anthony Henry? I don't think so. He is talented but he is just another carbon copy of Henry who has coverage skills but is slow.

NO THANK YOU.

Not saying TJ is great or anything, but C'MON! Troy Hambrick?! He is LITERALLY the worst RB I've ever seen. Ever.
you must mean starting RB, because there have been others just as aweful.

As woefully mediocre as Julius is, his brother IMO is more so. At least Julius can drop the hammer every once in a while against crap defenses. Thomas Jones....is kind of Troy Hambrick.

Thomas Jones may not be a burner but Troy Hambrick is probably one of the slowest players I've ever seen. Troy Hambrick SUCKS. Thomas Jones is pretty talented. Just watch the Jets this season and see how much better they are going to be with him in the backfield.

When you're up around 10 million like me, you can afford this kind of drop. I mean....YOU probably couldn't afford it...but I'm good like that.

Neither one is anything special. Thomas might fight a little bit more than Troy, but they're both the kind of RB who is only as good as everyone around them.

Last time I remember, Thomas Jones carried the entire offense for the bears for the last two seasons, especially two years ago.

The last thing Julius Jones has carried well has been a whole bunch of guilt and resentment to BP for making him run like a robot.

Give me a break. Take a look a the numbers. Thomas Jones is the better back.

:laugh1:

I agree neither is special (that's obvious to anyone not named Burmfrd), but I think Thomas is slightly better.

The Jets are said to be dangling cornerback Andre Dyson as trade bait as they try to acquire a veteran left guard to replace Pete Kendall. The 28-year-old Dyson started 15 games last season, but the Jets seem comfortable inserting Darrelle Revis at left cornerback despite the first-rounder missing 20 days of training camp as a holdout.

Thoughts?

Love it. Proctor for Dyson!

Take a look at Thomas' numbers and JJ's numbers. Take a look at all the arm tackles JJ has fallen to. Certainly even though JJ was "running being made to run like a robot" :)laugh1: :lmao2: :lmao2: ) that doesn't mean that he has to be as weak as empty cardboard box.

Done. Your 1000 percent wrong. You've lost all 10 million of your credibillity points. But here's a bagel for you. Enjoy!

You seem to be arguing that Thomas Jones is more consistent. Fine, have fun with that, I won't argue. But I'd suggest actually looking at their stats before spouting off about how Thomas Jones is definitively better.

They share the exact same ypc average. What makes that worse, is that Thomas Jones took 7 years to work his way up to 4 ypc. Julius has been there from the get go. If you would have taken a look at their numbers before you shot your mouth off, you might have noticed that.

They're both medicore backs, I don't want to get into a huge thing about who is less mediocre. Julius has more gamebreaking ability, and has demonstrated such more than Thomas. If you would actually watch them, instead of going off numbers (which in this case don't help your point at all) you might have noticed this.

Would the Jets take a 4th or a 5th round pick or someone like Tony Curtis?.

He started off in Arizona.

Who's better, Edge James or JuJo?

How many YPC did Edge have last year compared to JuJo? 3.4 to 4.1.

Point made.

And the last couple of years TJ had been in Chicago... with Rex Grossman as QB. Not much of a passing threat there, who do you think defenses focused on more, Rex or TJ?

Not to mention the fact that Chicago had an inconsistent passing game; JuJo had the benefit of having defenses having to account for Terry Glenn, Jason Witten, and a little player named T.O. Mushin Muhammad, bernard berrian, and desmond clark aren't even on the levels of those guys.

Guess which player defenses keyed in on more, Thomas Jones and that terrible passing game or JuJo and our high-flying passing game?

Oh, Okay.

Oh, and I actually watch the games. I still stand by the fact that I think Thomas Jones is the better player even though he is less explosive than JuJo.

Julius played a season behind the two worst tackles in football and Marco Rivera.

zomg....point made.

Whatever. I'm not getting into anargument with you two geniuses about whether Thomas is more or less mediocre than Julius. Neither one is good enough to warrant that.

Didn't the Jets take Revis after our pick? I guess a rookie CB can contribute after all, sounds like they are high on him.

Wish we had a veteran Left Guard to swap them.

Me too. I looked at their roster the other day when I brought up the Spears trade idea. They have Dyson, Miller, Barrett, Revis. They really only need three starting type CB's and they obviously drafted Revis to replace someone. Miller is their kick returner so he is not going anywhere. Barrett is listed as a starter so if they want to get rid of Dyson they just insert Revis.

Maybe we could get him for a draft pick?
