My gosh i thought we had it bad here ... that team is gonna implode this off season ... i dont think they get it back together and have to fire Rex.

i have said it before several times

personalities like Rex are not built for long HC careers with one team

this may help us land sparano as he may not want to go to an imploding franchise (coming from miami)

To do what?

We already hired our O-Line coach so what would you be bringing Tony here to do?

Every coach on the offensive side of the ball is basically history. Their #1 WR/Headcase was benched in the last game. Their annointed franchise QB is a Matt Lienart wannabe. Their vaunted running game is about 3.3 yards a carry. They fire their Offensive Coordinator ... then their O line coach who was probably oging to get the O Coordinator job leaves. There is no way this team makes it to the playoffs this upcoming year ... unless Rex pulls some magic Defensive scheme out of nowhere.

Jets are gonna have to clean house at some point, both coaches and players. I guess the Rex Ryan moxie experiment is over. BTW this does remind me in a small way of when we had Pac-man, Tank,T.O. etc.

Ahhh....which was already shot down, thus why he was passed over for Bill, by the fact that Garrett has no intention of giving up his playcalling duties.

So that's got no chance of happening as well. So now what are we going to have him coach? Runningbacks?

Reports all over Twitter that Jets fans are calling for the head of Sanchez and want to work out a deal with Indy for Manning.

I can understand calling for Sanchez head I don't agree with working a deal for Manning. Manning I think it on the downside of his career much like Montana when he left San Fran for KC. People fall in love with the past without looking ahead

This is a product of their head coach. I'm not surprised.

We haven't seen Manning play so you can't say for certain he's on the downside of his career. He's still a huge upgrade over Sanchez.

Can't say anything about the cred of this rag, but it sounds interesting:

The consensus among players who spoke to the Daily News was that, at the very least, the Jets must sign a legitimate veteran backup to push their young quarterback.

“We have to bring in another quarterback that will make him work at practice,” said one player. “He’s lazy and content because he knows he’s not going to be benched.”

Jets players asking for Peyton Manning?

Soon to be 36 year old QB coming off a 2nd neck surgury. Yeah I can say he is on the down hill side of his career. Is he an upgrade over Sanchez? sure but Manning is still property of Indy and is not going to leave for free

I agree, I don't think it is the smartest move, but if their initiative is to go all in to win the SB in the next 2 years, this might be a good move, assuming Manning can still play, that is. They could recoup some of the picks they will give up to get Manning by trading Sanchez. But long term, that move could be a disaster if they fail and/or Manning gets hurt and cannot perform as they expected.

That is what I'm getting at. More times than not when a team is trying to make a move to get a SB right away it often back fires and you end up with no SB and you just put yourself in a hole by giving up picks in the process making it even harder.

Myself I would not take that gamble on an older QB coming off a major surgery.
