It's easy to be overlooked on a defense loaded with as many stars as the Ravens have, but Leonhard was a solid and steady contributor.

He proved to be an excellent complement to All-World free safety Ed Reed. He also was a factor as a return man.

Leonhard offers tremendous instincts and a great deal of toughness.

He won't cost much, and his potential value could very well far exceed that of many other players on the open market.

Jim Leonhard grew up about 50 miles away from me in Northern Wisconsin. Town about 200 people size wise..LOL The kid has been told he CANT his whole life, at every step he has proven his doubters WRONG. Was a walk on for the Badgers. Ending up starting and being an all big 10 safety and kick returner. Made it to the pro's, started and excelled on a very complex Rex Ryan defense. Guys a real HUSTLE PLAYER. VERY intelligent. Hard hitter for a man his size, huge leaping ability. Think Bill Bates with a WHOLE LOT more athletic ability. THAT is Leonhard. Just the type we need on this team, a guy with some heart. As an added bonus he's a very good kick returner too. OR.....we can just keep signing and drafting a bunch of no heart guys like weve been doing . You see what that got us against Philly in the last game of the season.

He supposedly wants 4-5 mils a yr...for a guy who doesnt make many plays he isnt worth anywhere near that. He is not a ball hawk and never will be.
