Jets request interview with Richard

#rooneyrule

Then they go after a guy like Harbaugh.

Harbaugh is staying in Baltimore.

You weren't referring to his less successful brother in Ann Arbor, were you? :muttley:

Mike McCarthy is worth like 4 wins by himself lol...that's how much I think of him. He was provided a lot of trash on the roster at times..He's a monumental upgrade from Todd Bowles. BTW...I played Bowles in highschool in Socal. lol...Dude was a huge hitter at safety. He played for Banning and I for Beaumont.

It's amazing to me how many of you want Richard to be the head coach when you criticized Garrett for getting the job with no head coaching experience. Many of you called him the trainee over and over again.

Who said that? We just want Garrett gone and he wouldn't be a bad replacement. An improvement, truth be known.

.....8 HC are without jobs right now..lol.. Its no easy gig. He will have a good situation in Dallas, if he stays. He fits right in. I think he stays with Dallas.

Maybe Seattle started this rumor to cause a distraction. Two fold.

I don't have a problem with this but why can't teams respect other teams? We are in the playoffs and getting ready. Richards gotta put out a game plan and get ready for an interview? JJ can say no but he won't. That's blocking progress and I can understand that.

The street talk has the Jets more interested in an OC guy to develop the new QB.

Would be interesting, though, to see if Bowles might end up back here if that were to happen, no?

I was thinking that last night, as soon as I seen where Bowels may be fired. That Richard would go to the Jets, and we may get Bowles.
Wonder if we could still get Ray Horton here too.

Yes, the one that they were widely reported to be interested in.

Now whether I think the Ann Arbor Booger Eater is a good fit is a different story...

Jerry will bump his pay up and redo his deal, maybe upgrade his coaching title to shut this crap down,at least until we fire Garrett.

Jerry can’t do anything if it’s an upward move.

He can tell them not until after they playoffs. But then they may have moved on to their next interviewee.

And that rule I think is no longer in effect. Used to be they could not request an interview until that team was eliminated. Now it does not seem to be so anymore. But a team can deny the request. But they can't stop them from leaving if a move up. Jerry denied Sparano one time to leave. I think Sean Payton one time too, but the next year he allowed it.

Seems the rules are different now though. However I still believe he can say no until after they playoffs, or once eliminated.
