The reason, I believe, he was not happy in Atlanta was that he was handcuffed with Michael Vick. Vick will never be anything more than an average QB. Unless he is on a team with a extraordinary defense like he was in 2002, his team will be lucky to finish 8-8 or 9-7 at best. I believe Mora was interested in making a move to Shaub to create some offensive stability. I believe he was told by the owner not to make that move for one reason and one reason only. Money. Vick is Aurthur Blanks money maker. He makes more money off of Michael Vick than he would ever make off of a SuperBowl title without Vick. Blank realizes that, and will sacraffice a SuperBowl level team to continue making money off of Vick, even if it means an average result. Vick is bigger than the team itself.
Mora realized this, and with the help of his Dad's mouth, and his friends radio show, got himself out of Atlanta. Jimmy Johnson had a similar situation with a well past his prime Dan Marino in Miami. Johnson wanted to pull a Hershel Walker trade with Marino, but soon learned that Marino was bigger than he was. He was handcuffed with Marino.
All this being said, I don't think any less of Mora. I think he would be a great Head Coach if given the right opportunity, and truly expect him to be very successful in his next stint.

I think that Les Miles has his eye on the Dallas job because of the connections.bbgun;1280416 said:If Bill is gonna hang it up, he better do it soon 'cause there's gonna be a lot of competition for coaching talent this off-season.

Comfort level and a hot college coach who has produced bowl teams in his last 5 seasons as coach of two different 1A porgrams. One in the Big 12 South and the other in the SEC. He knows his stuff.Alexander;1280429 said:Why would we want Les Miles other than the familiarity factor?

Cowher may step down. Crennel is a possibility.

Mora got canned because he wasn't very good. I live in atlanta and pretty much the entire town hates the guy.
mr.jameswoods;1280528 said:I think Coughlin is done. It's a morale issue. The players just don't like him. You can't win when your chemistry is that bad. It may not be Coughlin's fault but it doesn't matter. Their lockerroom is a mess
In regards to Parcells, I think if we are competitive in that game, he will be back. If we get killed or committ many turnovers, Parcells will resign before Jerry can fire him
