I think it's great that Rome thinks that. I hope a bunch of teams do too. Scandrick is a good player and he'll be missed. But the Cowboys do have some pretty good players to make up for his loss. I just seen a stat on Sportscenter that the Cowboys have had the most guys put on IR than any other team since 2013. I think it was something like 53 players. And I know they weren't all players as good as Scandrick but that's alot of players. I think this team has more grit and toughness then they get credit for and the defense is going to show how much Rome knows about the Cowboys, Which is nothing

Sounds like guesswork. Unless there's a reason for there being more HGH this season.

Maybe it's related to the changes in camp, and guys with tired legs because they aren't as well-conditioned aren't picking their feet up as much. Whenever you get a cleat and a change of direction, you're going to get ACL problems. I can't think of why fewer two-a-days would be a bad thing in that regard, honestly. Assuming, of course, that there actually are more ACLs this year. More turf practice fields, maybe?

Their reason was that HGH caused the muscle to grow and become stronger but the tendons do not grow or become stronger. That would make sense to me for the non contact ACLs. Your body is stronger than your tendons can handle. I still think the NFL test for HGH so how could it be the problem?

They said on NFL network there were 31 ACL tears all last season and already 25 so far this year before the 3rd preseason game.

Yeah, but then that means that HGH is more widely used now than it was last year, by a fair margin, right? Or at least that it's recently become significantly more popular than it used to be.

I don't care what Jim Rome thinks. I don't have anything against him, but he's pretty out of the loop on this topic if he thinks our CB depth is bad this season.

He got off easy with Everett I would have reached over the table and punched his lights out.

Yeah. That one always looks staged to me, anyway, but it's all I think about when someone mentions Jim Rome, even after all these years.

It wasn't staged because Rome had Everett rattled you could see it in his eyes and he stumbled over his words. You could see and feel the tension that something was about to go down. Everett was trying to compose himself but Rome being the smart ace he is pushed him over the edge.

Some of you boys are soooo incredibly fragile. Geesh. Get over it!

Rome is not an NFL specialist and he certainly doesn't have time to dutifully follow all the Cowboys moves over the past offseason. These national guys are trying to fill up their show with interesting chat and aren't going to have detailed knowledge in most cases.

What he said about the Cowboys secondary last year is true. What he said about Scandrick is also true.

Has he had much time to consider the impact of adding (or adding back) Lee, Claiborne, Hardy, Jones, White, and Gregory? Of course not, because he's probably spent 10 minutes in the entire offseason reading up on the Cowboys.

Just chill already. No need to hate the man. He's just fully informed. And it's the same w/the other guys focused on the national stage.

Plus, most likely a national media guy is not going to know much about Corey White, Tyler Patmon, and Byron Jones.

The Everett/Rome situation had been brewing for years. It all started in 89 in the NFC title game when Everett was sacked numerous times and one instance Everett when down without contact. That got Rome started calling him Chris Everett. I heard that Rome lured Everett on his show and assured him there would be no name calling. He even apologized to Everett prior to coming on the show for all the times he called him Chris Everett. Apparently Rome's intention was to embarrass Everett on the air and have him get up and walk off from the interview.

Rome seemed to have the impression of Everett that he was a wimp and wasn't tough so he never anticipated Everett would get physical with him. Not long after that encounter Rome pissed off Rony Seikaly who he had on his show but quickly defused it and apologized to him before that turned ugly. I haven't watched Rome in years but the last few times I saw him conduct interviews with athletes it was via closed circuit TV. LOL

I like it when everyone tells the world how bad we will be, just like last year
Oscan will be missed but don't think it's gonna tank our season
But I hope every team we play keeps thinking that

Of course it wasn't staged. Everett was so emotionally coerced that he tipped over the table, basically walked Rome off the edge of the stage and casually held Rome down on the floor. Everett had all the physical advantages of height, weight, strength, reach, etc., but he never threw a punch. Or a slap. Or a kick. Or even bad language before an undersized show attendant "wrestled" Everett off Rome. That guy must have been gamma-irradiated.

 at yet another KJJ non-truism.

With guys like Patmon, White, Claiborne, and FIRST ROUND pick Byron Jones, Dallas will manage...

TBF, to outsiders, what he said about the loss of Scandrick isn't that far off.

Claiborne? Known as a bust to NFL fans and a good amount of Cowboy fans
White? Who?
Patmon? Who?

Jones was a first round pick, but it's fair to say there could be a drop off between a vet like Scandrick and a rookie in Jones.

One other point on the Everett/Rome incident that happened in 1994 while Everett was still playing so he had to control himself the best he could in that situation. Had he punched Rome it would have led to an assault charge and could have jeopardized his career. He came close to taking a slap at Rome when he had him on the floor but held back. Had that been Bill Romanowski Rome would have ended up on life support.

Another KJJ demonstration of not understanding legal jargon. Everything that occurred would have constituted assault if Everett were so charged. On the other hand, battery...

Last year the battle cry was the Cowboys defense was historically bad in 2013 so now what's gonna happen with DWare gone......and guess what. They were better.

Jim Rome's opinion is equivalent to used toilet paper.

Rack him
