You're right. He's no Mack Brown.:lmao:

I like Mack Brown myself but I'm not saying he should be the next HC for Dallas either. I like Tressel but I'm not interested in him being the next HC for Dallas. If OSU fans love him so much then keep him. :laugh2:

I don't think Tressel will be a good NFL coach and it is for one reason. He wears a sweater vest. Just like I don't think coaches who wear visors will be good NFL head coaches. Guys like Bob Stoops or Steve Spurrier. Sweater vests and visors just don't look NFL material. :D

I don't see where I said he should be the next head coach.

I'm poking at your 'he's not all that' statement.

Tell me, just what does a college coach have to do in your eyes to 'be all that?" If winning at every level he's ever coached on a consistant basis isn't good enough, hard to say what would be worthy to you.

And we will keep him, thank you very much. Texas doesn't deserve such a fine man.

Tressel stated last week that we would be interested in one NFL job only... Cleveland...

He really said he wasn't even interested in that. Said he didn't know how his coaching style would translate to the Pros and that he feels he's a teacher as well as a coach and and he didn't think that would fit in the Pros.

Said he has always rooted for the Browns and remembers fondly holding placekicks for Groza as a kid and that he will always cheer for the Browns but he's the coach of the Buckeyes and it was and still is his dream job.

He's got it made at Ohio St and he's making with endorsements like 2.4 mill a year.

I love Tressel and don't want him going anywhere.

GO BUCKEYES!

Because he's pretty damn good. As good if not better than anyone else.

If he beats Michigan this year...He could be elected Governor of Ohio!:D

They will probably quiet down when Michigan whips them and goes on for the National title.

Hold your fire CC.

I've got a bad feeling about this game.(ducks)

I NEVER take Michigan for granted.

My Father-In Law who is a Michigan Alum and just about always picks the winner (He's not a homer...He will say that OSU will win if he thinks so ) Says he thinks Michigan is going to win this year.

Makes me nervous.

If Big Bill doesn't want to come back next year, I do not want ANY college coach to take over,, we have a very talented team and having a coach with no NFL experience would not be good. Give me Jeff Fisher or Bill Cower,, Both may be on the market next season..

I believe Cowher is under contract for next season. He may not coach the Steelers, but it will cost draft picks for any team that wants him.

id be for Tressel, i think he is the smartest coach in college right now.:starspin

So was Nick Saban when he came out, so was Butch Davis when he came out, so was Dennis Erickson when he came out, do you see a pattern.

Maybe so but I thought I heard different.. I really want Parcells back,, but if that does not happen.. I really would hate to turn this team over to a college coach...

I love OSU and Tress and think he is a great coach, but I don't see his Ra-Ra do it for the school style working in the NFL.

Well, can YOU show me an NFL head coach with an .827 winning percentage?? The man coaches in one of the toughest college divisions, and his team has been rated #1 throughout the season since day one. You say Tressel is not all that. Well, then, tell me who's better?

You know I think he gets a bum rap from some fans because he is not a flashy guy and just never gets grouped with other coaches that have flashy systems or something.

However he indeed is a very good coach and has built winners wherever he has coached.

He is just not a flashy guy.

Now I am not saying I want him to be the next coach of the cowboys but he indeed is one of the best College coaches right now IMO.

What ? Too many dissagreements? Are you crazy? Why do you make things up!!!!

It is pretty clear that JJ shoved TO down BP's throat. It is also obvious, (because he said so), that JJ wants Bledsoe to be his QB, and he was NOT happy when Parcells made the change. They stood on the sideline not 20 feet from each other without either saying a word to the other.

Just like with Jimmy Johnson, JJ feels like HE can win a SB with any head coach, and that means the successor of whoever goes against his wishes.
