"HE WOULD BE MY QB!"

Maybe because it's Jimmy, maybe because I trust his instincts on the game and maybe just because he told me what I already believed to be true.

Some highlights-

Thinks Romo has everything. "I would want him."

Believes he just needs that one BIG game and he will be on his way. It's all about confidence.

Says people think that the better the opponent, the more wrinkles you put in. WRONG - Jimmy says the tougher the opponent, the simpler the game plan should get. The easier the opponent - the more stuff you can try.

Says he would simplify the game plan for Tony in big games. He believes Tony is a Corvette QB who needs to go the speed limit in big games. He can go faster later.

Believes that Tony is coachable, has the appropriate work ethic and will adapt to whatever you tell him.

Today, he was actually working on his rant about Tony for the FOX show on Sunday in which he will basically say the same thing.

Never thought of it like that before. I love it.

Wonder how the anti-Romo crowd will react to this?

lol come on why even bring that up

Can we have a thread where we're not Pro-Romo vs Anti-Romo.

Can we hire Jimmy as a consultant? He and Jerry are friends again. I know. I know. Can't pry him from the Florida Keys and his cushy broadcasting gig. But his expertise could put us over the top.

dude, I tried that. I tried to get all the blame put on me....

This should be interesting because there are a lot of fans who always defer to Jimmy and his opinion. Let's see how it plays out.

So is Tony not going to reach his full potential until we get a coach like Jimmy?

What does Jimmy know? He couldn't even win three Super Bowls. If Romo is a Corvette, maybe we should trade him in, cash for clunkers style, and go with...of I dunno, a bus. A bus and a reliable bus driver.

Aw, what does he know about football, or quarterbacks?? I mean, he already had Troy Aikman, and still drafted Steve Walsh...

This should settle the issue of whether or not Jimmy would bench Romo. A few people have been debating it since Sunday night's loss.

How about who cares what Jimmy has to say? The last quarterback he tried to develop was trash.

Was this a joke?

My biggest problem is the current coaching staff AROUND Tony. He's got all the tools to be a great QB. He's shown flashes of brilliance. It's the coaching that is holding him back and ****ing up his development.

I would only agree with this if Jimmy Johnson was the coach....

What does the coach have to do with it? He has Wade Wilson and Jason Garrett. Or do you want a coach that's going to put fear into Romo's head to where he's scared to throw the ball?
