Jimmy Johnson explains how to break a team's losing cycle

JJ was right. Working harder than the other guy is a time-tested, proven formula for success.

The Cowboys remind me of the Alabama team that thought they could just show up and beat Vandy.
Jimmy was harder on his team after a win. Why? So they wouldn't get complacent like Bama did against Vandy.

The problems are so spread out that a new GM and Coaching staff would be needed first.

It doesn't matter who we bring into Coach because the philosophies will need to coincide with what Jerry wants on both sides of the ball.

Jerry loves the pass game and wants a bend but don't break defense.

Problem is, these are philosophies that go against what Dallas Cowboys football is. Which is a strong run game and a Doomsday style defense.

We don't have those elements. No RB. No quality DT rotation.

Whoever comes in would have to rebuild this roster and build the trenches on both sides first. We need Coaches who can implement THEIR thinking out there. Face it, our opponents in the playoffs are going up against Jerry and our FO, not our Coaches. It's no wonder they don't make adjustments effectively. How can you when you're not able to use your own philosophies and must stick to company blueprint.
.
Until that time comes, we will continue to waste years of talented players, much like what we've already witnessed.

Tom Landry spent nearly 30 years making this organization what it is PERCEIVED to be today.

Jerry has spent nearly 30 years making this organization what it is today; a laughing stock.

The people who call out Cee Dee on threads lose credibility . Go over the middle catch a pass take the hit from the safety and IF you get up get back to me .
CD doesn't get a free pass. Dude just signed the biggest WR contract in the NFL. If I need some chump to go over the middle for 5 yards and take a hit I will call Cole Beasley and pay him a fraction of the costs. Go out wide like a real man and make some big plays.

CD is the second highest paid player on the team. Like it or not he wears this big time. If the team is quitting on the field the first person that you need to look at is Dak and the second is your boy CD.

We all know the problem starts in the front office but it seems MM is simply on cruise control for that paycheck.

Nothing was done about addressing the penalties. The scheme screams JG play book all over again. Zero motivation. Soft country club mentality.

Pay me the money CeeDee makes and I will do it right now in the shape I'm in.

Also, who put a gun to CeeDee and forced him to join the NFL?

All NFL players now are divas.

Not all NFL players have the option of running to the owner.

Successful franchises dont let the players run the team. You dont like how hard we practice here? Ill talk to your agent and find a solution for you. Or you can sit on the bench.

This franchise CODDLES players like something I have never seen.
I saw one game were 2 dudes were holding a canvas over 5-6 players. As if they were Egyptian Queens using the "hired help".

Nothing breaks a losing cycle better than having a Heschel Walker to get you 7 total draft picks and 4 players.

Jimmy picked the right players and Jerry's been living off that for 3 decades now
We have one. His name is Micah. He's an incredible talent that will never win here in Dallas. Might as well build up the next team with draft picks

Too bad he couldn't do that in Miami with without a Herschel Walker trade and salary cap.

Come on now, coach. To be fair to Jimmy, Dan Marino was already done when he got there. That's like Jimmy taking over for the 1997 Cowboys. Our team was spent by then. If Miami had a Herschel Walker when he got there, I'm sure he would've dealt him just like he did with Herschel with the Cowboys.

This is probably one of the most pathetic ways to try to defend a player that I can imagine. Poor little CD his job is soooooooo hard.

Right , “ Cee Dee is soft “ this from the keyboard warriors on the couch .

When was Cee Dee out of the lineup not making the tough catches ? The people who call out Lamb & Parsons have zero football credibility .

Again the thread goes to bank account to say “ “Cee Dee is soft “. Zero credibility in that argument . I was totally against extending Dak but I wouldn’t use his bank account to claim he’s “ soft “ . The knowledge on this board about the NFL you can sometimes fit in a shoebox .

If it’s going to take being physical to break the cycle then we’ll never break the cycle. This team is loaded with cream puffs. The team is so soft it’s become a joke.

But, maybe as fans it's time we learn how to assert and demand better the way the rest of our division does.
Could happen....whispers of a walk out during the Giants game on Thanksgiving all over Twitter....would be hilarious....getting beat by the Giants in the first half...halftime show....lights come back on....stadium is empty.
