Jerry is trying to buy up all the copies so nobody else can buy it.

He is also going the break the internet so nobody can buy it online
Or maybe Jerry wants to read it before putting Jimmy in ROH. If Jimmy is honest he probably doesn't get in while both are alive.

I heard a lot about it on the Ticket this morning.

Confirms what I've said all along, that Jerry was TOTALLY burned out as the Cowboys coach and was leaving no matter what.
So sick of people saying Jerry somehow ran him off. Jimmy never stayed anywhere more than 5 years and especially the Dallas.

Plenty to blame ol Jerrah for but running off jimmy is not one of them.

Also, Jimmy talked about how silly he was to be overly obsessed to the point where he was the all-time worst father to his kids because football came first--when it didnt have to be that way.
He never even went to any of his kids games their whole careers. One son got something like 25 D-1 offers, and he never saw a game.
Said he later apologized to Barry Switzer for haggling him over missing a meeting so he could see his grandkid play. Said looking back he was an idiot to say that.
Gotta respect him for owning that

What do books about the subject from 10-15-20 years ago say about the topic? Has Jimmy ever been quoted as saying something opposite than whats in this book?

He did his book tour in this a while ago. I think it has a lot to do with his family, though I could be wrong.

Should be a good read and sell well.
This should be a fun read. He came from the same little town in Texas that Janis Joplin came from and went to school with her. He was apparently a star on the Arkansas team that won the college championship, which Jerry Jones was also on. From what I understand he is the guy that recruited Terry Bradshaw out of high school at Louisiana Tech. Tried to recruit Aikman at OKLA STATE when he was there, only to lose him to Switzer and OKLA. Tried to get Aikman again when he transferred out of OKLA when Jimmy was at the U, but lost out to UCLA. Besides all that- the stuff about him and Jerrys split would be interesting enough alone - his version, not Jerrys spin.

Not sure what the gain is here as a fan. I know the asthma field story (heck, a guy on the site has the name), the great train robbery, the story about the prince, how bout them cowboys, you can put it in 3 in print, etc.

over the past 25 years, I think I know every story by heart. If this came out in 1995, sure; in 2022, pass.

I assume most fans know them by heart to and will share them here.

the only story I want to hear about is the ring of honor induction.

maybe targeting the younger crowd?

Well jerry did have a part in jimmy leaving when he did. Jimmy was burned out , but might have stayed another year or 2 if jerry didnt irritate him so much
and make him mad frequently.
Jimmy liked time with the team after a game, and jerry wanted to barge in with celebrities before jimmy was done.
Jerry started taking credit in media for trades jimmy made.
Jerry did not want to pay emmitt
And on night jimmy left, jerry was drunk, got mad at jimmy after a snub ,and was saying in public that any one of 500 coaches could take this team to a SB
so he didnt need jimmy.

Jerry did apologize next day, but jimmy Had already left and refused to come back.

So it wasnt like he fired jimmy, he just meddled so much it got on jimmys nerves, with on top of the long hours led to what happened.

Best book from a 3rd person view of Jimmy’s coaching style IMO is Emmitt’s autobiography. A lot of details on Jimmy’s uncanny predictions before games and what Jimmy would do on the plane after a loss and how much he hated it.

I just gave a whole bunch of books away about the Cowboys. Tons if History about the franchise. There is a drop box where I can give books that I don't need to read anymore, but I might get this.
