I think the thing that I learned about "playoff" coaching is, it doesn't start with the playoffs.

How you end the season matters.

Although he was a sacrificial lamb, remember Jimmy cutting Curvin Richards at the end of the season because of his fumble.

TONS of blame to go around yesterday...

The coaching was just one of the reasons for the loss.

Whenever someone resorts to name calling and putting a person down, you know you are dealing with an inferior intellect that has just lost an argument but cannot admit it.

That's very sad. ;)

Yeah very sad. Lets cry about it. Either way your still wrong.

Now go watch the game and inferior intellect on that.

Actually I thought your entire disciplanarian act was kind of stupid and thats why I gave it a stupid response.

About the only nerve you touched was the one that goes off in my brain when someone says something....moronic.....

Nah im not kidding.

If the players just execute the plays yesterday then we win by double digits and you dont have a chance to come on here and whine about coaching.

They weren't going to execute with who ever was the coach yesterday.

No I think the players made it harder than it should have been because I saw the opportunities right in front of them to succeed and they failed.

Well I am sorry but you are wrong and I can't believe you don't see it. No way should the coaching staff receive all the blame, the players did not execute well, but some blame belongs on the staff. 99% of the people see that, not sure why you can't.

Please, feel free to never respond to any of my posts ever again!!

I think the entire forum would be better off if you didn't! :nono2:

Like I said. If the players take what was given to them we win by double digits and you have nothing to whine about.

No one knows how to prepare a team for the playoffs like Jimmy Johnson. Whenever he was criticized for keeping the team on a tight leash, he would say that you can't turn it on and off and you have to keep it going.

In looking at the pathetic way the Cowboys lost their playoff game as the #1 seed, it is clear that the team was out of sync and had a lot of rust that comes from not playing a meaningful game in 3 weeks. Missed tackles, dropped passes, stupid penalties, poor execution are all indications of a team that hasn't played in a few weeks. Jusk ask the Colts. They are masters at this.

When a team is unprepared and lacks the focus and intensity for playoff football, all of it falls on the head coach. I think Wade's biggest mistake was telling the players to take 3 days off and not think about football at all. It clearly showed on Sunday afternoon because their heads were not into the game.

Jimmy Johnson would have never done this. In the future, it may be better not to have a bye the first week or else we are going to see a repeat of what happened against the Giants as long as Wade is coaching this team.

FYI-Andy Reid gives his team the ENTIRE week off during the bye, and pretty much does the same thing-tells his players not to think about football, don't even watch it, and to black it out of their minds. And he's what...undefeated coming out of the bye week?

And Wade ONLY gave his players THREE days off, NOT the entire week. Sorry-but I'm starting to question the mentality of these players. We can bring Jimmy Johnson back, but honestly, their mentality and discipline may still be the same.

So what would you do differently that would allow players to drop passes, not block well, not have good kick/punt coverage, and not tackle guys that would still allow us to win.

If you know the answer to this why on earth are you on a message board because Bill Parcells needs a coach in Miami.

Lovie Smith did the same last year.

Let's see now, what's Andy Reid's track record in the playoffs?

Oh, that's right, losses in 3 NFC championships games and 1 loss in the Superbowl.

You might want to use a better example of making your point because Andy Reid is the poster boy for choking in the playoffs.

Another poster said Lovie Smith does the same thing. What happened to the Bears in the Superbowl? That's right: CHOKE city.

Bottom line is that it is better to keep your nose to the grindstone than to take several days off and not even think about football. You can't turn it on and off.

People like to nitpick and dissect what Jimmy did and didnt do for the Cowboys.... BUT.... the bottom line is....

When he got them where he wanted them - THEY WON.
They dont lose 3rd NFC title game against 49ers if he was head coach.
Even Won one more time after he left.
