NFL has rules the clubs have to follow regarding the media

PlayersPlayers must be available to the media following every game and regularly during the practice week as required under league rules and their contracts. It is not permissible for any group of players to boycott the media. Star players with heavy media demands must be available to the media that regularly cover their teams at least once during the practice week in addition to their required post-game media availability. The minimum for such players of one practice-week availability to local media does not include other required media obligations such as visiting team conference calls, network production meetings, and national media interviews arranged by the team.

Only thing about that is that Andy Reid is called a tough coach by everyone... And even he couldn't handle TO.

So basically, there's no coach that can handle TO. Wade probably did as good a job as anyone of that last year, and even that eventually didn't work.

It's no coincidence that pretty much every no-nonsense, tough guy coach that people want would probably tell Jerry to get rid of TO before they'd even take the job.
No. He ended up getting rid of T.O. Remember?

TO was a self-appointed captain just one year ago.

This year he was voted a captain by his teammates.

Enough said...

Really? You're unaware players have press conferences after games? Even WRs? Irvin did. I've seen Moss a thousand times, seen Andre Johnson, Steve Smith, Chad OC, seen Harrison, seen a bunch of them...

Look, he's a dominant personality. I don't know why anyone would want to argue that. It doesn't even have to be a bad thing. Don't we have a ton of fans on here wishing that other players had a dominant personality?

In this case, TO is one of the leaders of this team. But everyone handles him with kid gloves because they're afraid he'll blow. And while he undoubtedly wants to win, he is also the kind of polarizing personality who divides a team, especially with his political work in the locker room. He whispers about not getting the ball enough, speaks poorly about coaches, puts himself above the team at times, and gets guys on his side.

The result is a divided locker room. And why is it hard for anyone to believe that this locker room is divided? Everyone who has been in there for weeks says the same thing.

Reckon he'll be voted captain next year? That would be telling, huh?

How does the guy putting himself ABOVE the team, get guys on his side? How does the self-centered player you describe get voted captain?

And why don't you ask insiders. They are all saying the same thing. T.O. is a cancer. And our coaching staff are idiots. Every analyst and reporter who is close to the Cowboys is saying the same thing. I know you only like listening to Mickey Spagnola, however, he too is a yes man to the Cowboys front office. As a matter of fact, he is the biggest homer I have ever met.

I am going to disagree based on this:

The team went what 4-3 down the stretch and faced what 4 teams still playing in the playoffs right now?

Perhaps it wasn't so much a team implosion as it was the team just wasn't better than the teams they faced when health was factored in.

Do we consider Romo or Witten or Barber healthy for those stretch games?
Are we really better than the Ravens, Giants, Eagles, Steelers without them near healthy?

Was anyone complaining T.O. had corrupted any locker room prior to 6 weeks ago???

You're bringing too much sense to this thread. It's not going to work.
