Don't know why he would be concerned with the moves we make, his plate is full with all the problems on his team.

A little. But, I have so many other things going on right now, I havent been able to dedicate as much time reading stuff over here.

Alexanders comment was literally exactly what I thought when I read CC's post. Thats what made it so funny to me.

As far as Norv goes, I think it would be a bad hire as a HC. But I could see him being named (the newly coined title) Assistant HC Offense, and Garrett being named offensive coordinator.

i really like norv. but putting him in charge of the show does next to nothing to address the teams most glaring weakness - a 3-4 scheme that is more overwhelming to OUR players than it is to opponents.

garrett and turner make a good student/teacher combo - but i just don't get hiring norv over wade.

jerry better get lucky and land a frickin' whale on defense. otherwise norv and jason can put their heads together and figure out how the cowboys can score 40 points a game. cuz our direction on D plain sucks.

Oh well....at least we'll have a high draft pick next year.
Nope, Norv's worse news than that. Our division could be drop off so much and our schedule be so much easier that a crappy coach could come in and do about what BP did this year. So he'll ruin us eventually in part because our draft pick won't be high next year.

You're right. God for bid we make the playoffs.

I agree.

Norv would be great for Romo. As an assistant.

In a perfect world, he would be our offensive coordinator, Garrett could be his ward and they could fight crime together.

But instead, we are playing a foolish game with the immediate future of this team, which quite frankly, with some defensive tweaking, could be a legitimate NFC title contender.

Unfortunately, we are out to fix what isn't broken, fail to address the true problems and bury our heads in the sand yet again. We do that seemingly every year and that can now be attributed directly to Jerry Jones.

I think, with the team we have right now, experience is necessary. Turner brings us experience.

Making the playoffs is better than not making it but one and out is not good enough. We're a one and out team right now; we'll be, roughly, a one-and-out team under Norv I suspect. Now don't get me wrong -- if and when Norv is named HC I'll get on board. But not until then.

Experience in sucking as a HC? Man some of you guys on this board amaze me. You wanted Parcells gone but are willing to give Norv a shot considering Norv is worse than BP at everything when it comes to being a HC.

ok, since Norv isn't a SB coach then he's not any good. Don't be surprised if Norv and Garrett switch positions in a few years. Like I said lets get some more talent here then we can judge if he's good or not. At this point I want a coach that makes good decisions during game day. Everything else will follow.

Well, that's not Norv's strong point. He's a terrible gameday coach, just ask Commanders fans.

There is no need to ask Commander fans.

I have seen it first hand in both of his stops as a head coach. He is a poor game manager and can be counted on to make at least several questionable decisions under pressure each game.

He is overwhelmed as a gameday coach. And as far as preparation goes, he's not impressive there either.

I find it amazing that those who were screaming at the top of their lungs about Coach Parcells getting "outcoached" are now the same blind sheep who are praising the idea of Turner as a head coach. Wait until you see him get schooled by the likes of Andy Reid and Joe Gibbs, even Coughlin. It won't be pretty.

Wade Phillips has experience. And a defensive mindset.

That is where our immaturity rests, on defense. Turner will be of absolutely no help there.

Exactely! Like I said days ago, that pretty grass on the other side of the fence might not be so soft as you think!

Lots of people glad that Purcells is gone, but, they are now happy if Norv gets hired?

Something wrong with this picture! But, I knew it would happen...

Now, the fun begins...

You won't get that with Turner.

His strength is teaching players technique, not making sound gameday decisions.

If that is what you are looking for, you are wasting your time with Turner.

I am sure Norv will allow his assistant coaches more access to the media.

That alone would make some of these fools happy.

The only thing that bothers me about finding a new coach is JJ...

Now, I do think that JJ is the best owner out there, and he really wants to win, and he will do everything (hopefully right) to achieve that, however...

What concerns me is that the next coach will not be bigger then JJ thinks he is. With Purcells, JJ knew that he was not smarter then Tuna, so he had to take a backseat...but, now, hiring someone like Norv, who JJ probably thinks is not as smart as JJ now...that scares me!

I would feel soooo much better if there were another coach out there that is bigger then JJ...

He does scare me...

I hope to hell I'm wrong....
