It sounds to me like someone in the organization has purposely leaked the info since the beat writers are now predicting it.

I don't mean to be a doom and gloomer but Norv getting another shot as a HC just to give Jason Garrett an apprenticeship is one of the most nonsensical moves Jerry has made with this franchise.

while i respect your opinion i dont understand it. norv wherever he's gone has had top offenses. wide open offenses. thats puts emphasis on the OL. isnt that what fans have been screaming about for 10 yrs in dallas? the Ol!. while i know dallas had a offense who got yrds and put up points. they were sort of a miss or hit. they either scored a ton in a game or laid flat. there was no inbetween. one of them consistently inconsistent teams

On the bright side, maybe this assures us that they will address the offensive line and getting a young WR in the offseason/Draft. Just trying to be positive!

Norv had top offenses? He had ONE Top 10 offense in his entire head coaching Career.

The rest of the time they toiled in the 15-16 range or slipped into the 20s

It's the dumbest thing for me that Jerry has done and he's done some really really stupid things! I guess Homer Nation will be united behind this move though all the way. He is an EX cowboy afterall so that obviously makes him golden. I feel there are alot of better candidates out there that haven't proven they cant be a head coach yet, unlike Norv.. Give me a new and up and coming coach any day over a re-tread like Turner..... I guess there's always a chance he will turn things around and make us the great team we once were but I just have serious doubts he can be a leader of men like we need....

I was orginally hoping for a defensive-minded head coach too, but now I'm okay with a Turner or a Turner-like selection as HC. The reason? The new DC may be great and make the necessary improvements. The defense will have a new coach... one way or the other... it doesn't have to be the head coach.

HC: Turner... teacher to Jason
OC: Jason, the future
DC: ?? It can't be much worse than the vanilla defense we just witnessed.
