He was on Friday's episode of The Right Time with Bomani Jones...

Paraphrasing: this team has opened up holes for guys Darren McFadden and Demarco Murray -- those 20-25 yard runs are going to turn into 50-60 yard runs, and 10-15 yard runs will become 20-25 yard runs...I wouldn't be surprised if Ezekiel Elliott had 1500-1600 yards this year.

Felt it was worth posting because he was saying something nice. Also believes that we're trying to be the type of team this year that gets up 14-0, 21-7 on teams early and force them to throw their gameplan out and start throwing the ball around too much.

I definitely think we're trying to build an offense that bludgeons opponents with one of the most dominating running games seen in years. An attack much like the one that won this team championships in the '90's. Where opponents knew it was coming and it didn't matter because they couldn't stop it.

Just like the Dallas teams of the 90's, except Troy threw early to get those leads.

I like the pic and 'think' he.ll be a great one, but I'm not ready to pencil in 1500 plus yards for a rookie. I think Cowlishaw had a recent article comparing him to Melvin Gordon who had a pretty awful rookie year but gaudy college stats.
I think around Todd Gurley type numbers is probably more realistic. 1000-1200 yards 8-10 tds

If we get up by 14 early, the 2nd half is going to be nothing but a run blocking exercise for our OL. All our RB's will have a chance to rack up carries and yards. I don't know what the team record for rushing yards in one season is but there is a chance we could threaten it this year.

JJT said something nice because he is also from Ohio St.

Ezekiel Elliott comparable to Melvin Gordon?:lmao::lmao2::laugh::lmao::lmao2:

This offensive line is built for a dominant running game. I just hope they don't get Romo badly hurt.

David Wells and Royce West must have Zeke as their next target.

After he turns them down JJT will start bad mouthing him.

You are getting me all excited talking about the 90s! Good ole days!

Which is a double win for me as I am an Ohio State fan. I wanted them to draft Zeke because he was the best player to help this team. Being from OSU was icing on the cake.

But even though JJT is from Ohio State also, I still think he can be a buffoon at times.

How many fewer hits will Romo take because Elliott finished the dadgum run?

Yeah, I'm on record as not wanting Gordon when he was drafted because there has never been a Wisconsin running back that had a highly successful NFL career, they are a product of that oversized and over powering oline,

I would love Elliott with 1,500 yards and a second running back with 1,000.

Eze + Morris............?

That's gonna be fun to watch.

Dez and crew will only prosper.............

We have the players on Offense that will help each other.
Rushing game going, they put 8 to stop the run, then that allows the passing game to get in gear.
Passing game going, double up on Dez, then the running game gets going.

The defenses must respect both with all back and healthy now. And they must compensate for one or the other. Can't wait to see our offense in action.

The Zeke problem is still there so until he is cleared, I wouldn't get to excited about him.

I completely agree. I really look forward to watching the offense stomp all over people this year. Going into Seattle two years ago and pounding them into the ground when they couldnt stop it was a thing of beauty.
