I've only had one interview my entire life. Most union jobs just require you to pass a test for entry level positions. But the interview was weird.

I was 19 years old and this would be my first real job. I passed the New Jersey Bell (now Verizon) test and next was the interview. I wanted to do it on my own, this despite having my aunt and godmother at high positions in the company.

The interview went well I thought except for one thing. Even though I had one job or another since graduating high school, he was seemingly disgusted by the fact that I wasn't employed during my summer vacations when I was in high school. That includes between 9th and 10th grade. And the following ones. I was at a loss for words and didn't get the job. Then I got the job and worked there for 9 years. So much for trying to do it on my own.

Years ago, at my current company, I was in charge of hiring game testers, so I schedule an interview with this 20 year old kid that applied. I go out to meet him at the front desk and he's brought his Dad with him. Ok, that's weird but maybe the Dad was dropping him off and just needed a restroom or something. I tell the kid to follow me into the conference room for the interview and the Dad follows right along and takes a seat next to his kid. At this point, the expression on my face had to have been a clue. I figured I would still politely ask the kid a couple of questions. "So, are you a big gamer?" No answer or eye contact from the kid. Dad immediately answers for him. I ask a second question...same thing. I told them that I think I have all of the info I need and see them out.

Cut to a week later and I'm leaving work. The Dad is sitting in his car in our parking lot just staring at me. It's private property and there is reason at all for him to be there. The next day, he's there again just staring. At that point, I started walking over to ask what he was doing. Before I get to his car, he starts it up and peels out. Never saw him again.

The moral of this story is, kids don't bring your parents to job interviews. Also, people are freaking strange.

That sounds like a good plot for a game, "Timmy's Dad: Stalker Supreme". He's a serial killer and using his son, who is really not his son but a captive that he made a mute by removing his vocal chords, to find new victims who obviously cut the interviews short because of the awkwardness of the situation.
