I thought I heard they moved to a silent count too. Could be a big reason.
We used the 'slap' count vs. the Commanders. I don't think we false started once in that game. So I was looking for it today. We didn't use it. Given the # of times we got called for false starts or almost false started today, maybe rethink abandoning it?

I'll have to see it again...but it sure looked like he moved early a few times.
Not sure we should be piling on the commentators for pointing out what people at home were probably seeing as well.
I have no idea why fans get so worked up by this stuff.
I saw martin moving right before the snap a bunch but could not see his arms as dumb as that sounds.
Yeah..Buck is it baseball playoffs yet?
Gazoo Mike Pereira is painful also. They need to get these former refs off TV. They add nothing.
T-Rex?!!I saw martin moving right before the snap a bunch but could not see his arms as dumb as that sounds.
I laughed when Cowboys punt went out on 6 yard line. As soon as it leaves his foot Buck yells "Shank".
That was a great shank.
Buck must be watching the game on hisThat was also hilarious. Buck, "SHANK!," Troy, "Great Punt!"
Sure. And that's why the refs obviously weren't calling it.He moved before the rest but he moved with the ball.

But if you were a casual viewer at home it warranted some discussion from the announcers. That's their job.
Some I feel get offended by this stuff too much.
I thought they do a good job. Why do you think Buck was rooting for 49ers? You must want a Homer to broadcast the games huh.
I agree. I rewatched those plays and he was in motion right as Fred was snapping the ball. It sort of reminds me of back in the DWare days when he got those bogus offsides calls because he was so uncanny at timing his first step on the snap. What I also noticed is there was an instance during one of this plays where one of the officials says something to Chaz after the play. Couldn't quite make it out but it looked to be some type of warning. Would be interesting to know if it was about his jump on the snap "appearing" early or totally unrelated.I cannot believe that seasoned NFL commentators and one HoF quarterback simply assume he's jumping early because he moves before the line does. If you look at each one, he moves the same exact time the ball moves. Just because he's the first to move does not make him a false start penalty. If anything, they need to ask why the rest of the line is a little slow off the snap.
Now, I am not saying he isn't ever moving too soon because I don't have a video of each play, but two of those they showed of him "jumping early" were ones where he moved the exact same moment the ball started to be snapped.
It may just be that he's moving on the count .. you know .. how guys farther away from the quarterback, usually with the side of their backs to the ball have to do.
Yeah. I think he meant to call it a TURNING POINT in the game, which it most definitely was as it totally shifted momentum. Same could have been said of the Butler taunting. Difference was we overcame our boneheaded play and Niners couldn't do the same.Yeah, I usually defend Troy, but that strained credulity....
I saw the same thing and started to mention it about the ref talking to him right after the third quick start he had.I agree.
