I know Joe Horn would have caught that ball the Patrick Crayton dropped

I don't believe Dallas had any interest in Joe Horn...

I actually think that although Jerry didn't have a lot of interest, and he mostly used Joe Horn as leverage with Terry Glenn, there was some.

The fact of the matter is (according to Falcons sources) that if they couldn't find a taker via a trade, they were going to cut Joe Horn anyway.

So it kind of leaves 3 options open:

A) Jerry doesn't want him & never wanted him.. all simply bad rumors

B) Jerry doesn't want him, but wanted Terry Glenn to think that he might get replaced by him to get him to fold at the bargaining table

C) Jerry does want him, he's just saying he doesn't in the hope that Falcons might cut Joe Horn (as they apparently had planned to do) so that we can get him for nothing (draft picks or whatever)

Even if Glenn really is through with his career, I still wouldn't want Horn... he doesn't make us better, and I dare say he might even make us a step worse in the receiving corps.

I say if Glenn is through, and we can't get a Boldin or Williams to replace him, then we need to let Crayton keep the job.

Besides, Jason Witten is really our #2 receiver anyway, and anyone else (current or new) would simply be the #3.

I would rather let the young guys have their shot. I don't think Horn could even beat out Crayton for the second spot.
