They traded a 5th and got a 6th back. It was worth a look. I personally like what i've seen from him but I guess maybe Dallas didn't or they knew he'd clear waivers....not really sure.

Well, I never thought so, but didn't care that much since it was a 5th!!!

I'll admit I thought other teams would be interested, but glad to see it all work out. Milton played well in the preseason, but after his release one would think we just released an all-pro QB, while his ceiling may be Tyrod Taylor with a stronger arm.

Regardless, good to have him back in the building.

That's not exactly how it works, but you aren't wrong ..

A practice squad player can be signed to a contract off the PS by another team, but they could have already done that after he was released.

Also, Milton could decline any offer as the PS player is not required to accept the deal. It's not like claiming players off waivers.

The catch is that if Milton is signed off the PS by another team, he has to be on their active roster at least three games I believe.

I think that was a pandemic thing. pretty sure the main rule is that if you poach them you have to keep them on your 53 man for three weeks

It appears I've been wrong on that and they have removed the protection rule.

I actually believe this was good for milton, he needed a reality check. He argued both NE and Dal down about his positioning, I believe he choose to sign back because he had no other option. It told him how the league sees him.

It also gave the milton fans a reality check that milton is not what you all think he is. It's somewhat embarrassing on both ends.

I feel good about this and it might be a wake up call from Milton that he can’t just live off being able to throw the ball 95 yards.

Schotty told everybody at the press conference yesterday. Milton is better than what some people think. He had an outstanding camp and preseason.
