Joe Milton's Girlfriend Helping New Dallas Cowboys QB Study Offense

<Excerpt> "Milton has a unique way he learns a new offense. The traditional dry-erase board doesn’t work for him. He prefers a piece of tape and poker chips. The tape is the line of scrimmage and the poker chips have letters written on them to symbolize the different skill position players. He prefers moving the chips over having to erase the board," Machota writes.

"His girlfriend has the script. She calls out a play. Milton repeats it back. He then goes to his chips and lines them up in the formation. The plan is to do that every day during the month between the end of minicamp and the start of training camp." Read more
Does she also snap the ball to him...

All my dreams are down the drain!!!
No they're not! There's still a chance! Make it happen, Samantha!

I'd suggest that he also gets Bill Belichicks girlfriend to help break down defenses.......use all resources available

It'll work great until another team signs HER to their practice squad! lol j/k

This is a wonderful way to do it and great for their bonding. She'll be able to analyze tape with him to see what went right/wrong, too since she'll know the playbook too.

Whatever works. At least shows he's not afraid to think outside the box.
If it works then that’s great. It concerns me a bit but I like he’s putting in the work. He has the arm and if he learns the game better that helps. But reps are what he really needs. That’s one thing I hate about getting rid of pre season games. They may bore most fans but those reps are invaluable to guys at the bottom of the roster abd especially a QB

Side note: In a tiny way, I will be interested if the camera finds its way to his girlfriend's face during a preseason game he's playing--especially after a negative play call. It is irrelevant, but I am curious to see her face *show* some kind of recognition in what might have gone wrong from the offense's perspective.
I hope he did not learn that study technique from Phenom Trance.

A QB who can run and throw a ball through a brick wall, but needs a tutor to learn the playbook. LOL Yea that'll work
