I'll give him one thing for sure...he's a punishing tackler.

Once all the plays where he got stoned cold stopped at the line of scrimmage were edited out he actually looks worthy of a 4th round pick.

What on earth are you talking about? He had 150 pressures the past two years. They 'edited out' a lot of those too. What you left with are impressive highlights where you see him close out games and dominate offensive lines for half an hour.

This thread is awesome though. Cognitive dissonance is a pita.

Yeah, maybe we can't really go wrong with this #4 pick, after all.

i don't know why people turn their nose up at this guy. he's big, quick, powerful, relentless. if he's the pick, i won't be upset at all. pairing bosa with demarcus lawrence would give me hope for our defensive ends that i haven't had in a long time.

He may not develop into sack master in the 1st yr like most pass rushers but he'll certainly shore up our run defense which was a problem last year.

He could become our starting 3 tech tomorrow and nobody would complain.

And he's got meat hooks for hands.

He's the kind of guy you add and he makes the other DLs better, but you don't realize how much because it doesn't really show up in the stat sheet.

That maybe his ultimate position. He's super quick inside and great balance. I don't see him on the ground. He's hands are so strong that once he latches on you are not getting away.

If we don't go QB I don't see why we wouldn't want this kids playing LDE or 3 tech?!

I prefer other players at 4 but I'll say this, dude does a great job of staying on his feet and staying low.

Yes he does. Not a big fan of Bosa, but there's no doubt he knows how to play the position

Actually, few "pass rushers" are sack masters in their first year in the NFL.

The closer we get to the draft and the more I read, the more I'm on board with Bosa at pick #4.

I'll say this. He's a violent tackler. He really plays behind his pads.
If we take him at 4 I hope they take a DT in the 2nd that can push the pocket and help to make this d line a strength.

Just adding Bosa would help but adding a Vernon Butler / Austin Johnson type to rotate with Thornton could really make for a good D line.

He is the most refined pass rusher in awhile. The question with Bosa is always his ceiling. Today he is the most ready to play de in the draft but where does he go from here. I still think tunsil, wentzand ramsey are going top 3 and if you can't trade down who else do you pick there? He may never be a league leader in sacks but he will be better than some think

It would make for a tremendous line.
