exactly. Zimmer needs to be shown the door. I do't know why he's not getting through to the players so they understand their assignments, but he's not reaching them and therefore needs to not be resigned.

Do you KNOW this or are you guessing? Seriously. I wanna know who is responsible for the defensive scheme. Not "Bill says run a 3-4" but WHO DRAWS UP THE PLAYS AND THE SCHEME AND ALL THAT?

The linebacking unit is in shambles, especially the recently-highly paid Bradie James. Henry, thought to be a good corner, is a bit of an enigma. Roy Williams, a highlight reel player at time, has considerable weaknesses that are exposed. The free safety remains a question mark.

Oh, and the defensive coordinator is a tool.

Where do you even start to improve this thing? I honestly don't know. Don't have a clue.

It's Zimmer's responsibility to make sure the players are not confused with their assignments. It's not a flawed schem, it's flawed execution. If Zimmer can't get to the players tjhen he needs to go..

Who are you crappin? Madden didn't nail Zimmer; he nailed Parcells. This is Parcelss 3-4 scheme, which he imposed on Zimmer. It has also been Parcells who repeatedly says "we ask Ware to do a lot of things". like cover receivers on passing downs. If Zimmer had his way, he would be running the league's #1 4-3 defense, and Ware would be playing like Charles Haley at DE.

Putting this critcisn on Zimmer is laughable! Please!

I honestly think this is fixable

We need to upgrade over James (maybe move Carp to the middle and sign an Adalius Thomas type) we can upgrade at free safety and find some lowpriced free agent DLs that can help out with depth.

Most importantly, a new DC could do wonders for guys like Spears Canty, James et al.
