I don't know who is more delusional, Thud or the Packers fans posting in this Who's better, T.O. or Driver thread on this Packers forum.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again: Donald Driver *does* beat TO in the category of Best Porn Name, Male Actor.

In fact, that Green Bay team leads the league in best male porn names. With Donald Driver, Johnny Jolly, Bubba Franks, and Jason Spitz (he needed the money), I'm not sure any other team even comes close.

Wow.

The cowboys get that much (or more). The difference is the cowboys fans don't have to travel for those away games, there's already that many living in that town.

DING!

We have a winner.

Calling the Packers "America's team" based on some Winconsinites willingness to travel is a bit off base.

call em the "frequent flyer's team." That has a nice ring to it. :)

Watched "Inside the Huddle" last night and heard there were many Packer fans there. They must have been really disappointed when they realized Romo wasn't there. Do wonder if any of those Packer fans were from his hometown.

Thats why the Packers are "America's Team"... its very common for road stadiums to have 1/4 to 1/3 of their seats filled with Packer fans when the Packers hit the road.

Hey Bucko! I live in Wisconsin, have been to "the church of football" Lambeau Field to watch the Packers, and usually cheer for the Packers when they play...But I am first and foremost a Cowboys fan, and will be until I die.

And there are a lot of fans like me, who live across this country but bleed blue and silver, and who think that star on that helmet represents American Football better than any other symbol or team in any league.

Thats why the Cowboys are "America's Team"!

My very first Cowboy game was as a 12 year old at the 1996 NFC Championship Game, Dallas vs. Green Bay at Texas Stadium, we sat in the endzone seat and it was probably 1/4 Packer fans in the stadium, they were loud as the lead was exchanged multiple times but their cheers turned to literal tears by the fourth quarter as Texas Stadium erupted into chants of "Super Bowl".

I had overheard a Packer fan conversation behind me stating how they payed hundreds of dollars for their seats and drove down from Wisconsin but it had sure been worth it.

We payed 58 dollars for our seats and drove from Houston but we left happy, these grown men were left consoling each other on the long drive back to Wisconsin.

I should've offered my victory towel to them to dry their tears but I was too excited celebrating an NFC Championship.

Yeah I saw that TO/Driver thread. I'll admit, Driver may be one of the more underrated players in this league. But he's not even in the same tier as Owens. There are elite receivers (TO, Moss, Harrison, Fitz, Smith, etc.), and then there are good receivers. Driver falls into the second category.

We do have some homers here, but nobody tries to argue that Spears/Canty are better than Kampman/KGB.

Canty will be there soon :p:

Anyway, better comparison would be Ware/Ellis. Since they are our premier pass rushers whereas Kamp and KGB are their premier rushers.

I don't know of any other NFL team that has that kind of road following -- not unlike a college team.
HAHA youre crazy.

Not only do we have the top selling jersey(s), but the highest TV ratings, and the biggest market in the NFL. Dallas fanbase has got to be twice the size of GB.

Were Americas Team, get over it.

found this on the packer site.

Didnt read the thread from the Cowboys guy yet, but I'll check it after this posting to see how they compare.

Having watched the Bears play both teams, here's how I see them matching up.

While you guys have a serviceable pair of corners, they're a little overrated in my mind because they're not quite physical enough and a little old. I know they're both smart and experienced players which puts them in the right position most of the time, but when it comes to T.O. it will be tough to match up to his sheer athleticism. He will get open repeatedly and the key will to be to at least try and take away the big play.

Their tight end, Witten, will be a horrible mismatch for your LBs. Olsen pretty much molested Bigby when the Bears played you guys, and while he's talented, he's not the player that Whitten is just yet. Romo will find Whitten deep across the middle numerous times to keep drives alive. It's incredibly frustrating.:laugh2:

Speaking of frustrating, we hit Romo all night long, sacked him a few times and had him running often...but guess what? This guy would make the plays to TO and Whitten no matter what. I understand you guys have a decent passrush, but earlier this season, when we were healthy, we were really nailing the QBs often and Romo couldnt be stopped. Also Colombo is a pretty good tackle and their line is solid as well.

Overall, I think you'll need a couple lucky bounces to keep their offense in check.

As for their defense, they can be had deep. Rex had one or two dropped by Berrian that were sure TDs and if you run the ball enough, the playaction will really suck in their defenders. Their passrush is nothing too outstanding and with your line, Favre should get decent time for the most part unless they unleash a bunch of new blitz packages. With our horrible line, Rex was forced into a bunch of stupid throws and that really took the Bears momentum away in the 2nd half. We dominated them in the 1st half on defense, but turnovers killed us. With a good line the Cowboys can be had.

My prediction:
Green Bay 24
Dallas 31

...with the right bounces though, you guys have a good chance, I just dont like the odds of your defense stopping them. I know Brett will get some guys open deep, but will it be enough?

Oh yeah, PS, Marion Barber should get more respect than he does. He runs like a madman.

Good luck. We're not catching you guys anyway.
