Generally speaking. I see two smallish receivers that rely on speed and quickness. I wonder if their game is more suited for the college game. I realize Ross is a bit bigger, but still on the smallish side. Will his game translate better than Austin's who in my opinion has been having a so so career so far.
Size-wise, Ross has a much bigger frame (relatively speaking) than Austin who measured out at 5'8
1/4" 174 lbs. I'd wager good money Ross measures out officially between 5'10-11" and in the high 180s or low 190s....he's much closer to Brandin Cooks than he is DeSean Jackson in terms of frame/stature.
Austin has been a disappointment as a receiver, though it's not unreasonable to say the Rams haven't had a semblance of a consistent passing attack for years, nor a reliable QB. Even with that said, I don't think Austin is anything more than a slot receiver because he has issues beating the press on the outside. I don't see the same issue with Ross.
