Jon Gruden On Carson Wentz

Didn't Gruden like R.G. III? ;)

Do not recall that. But he did like Manziel. You could say he has never met a QB he didn't like.

But regardless, his commentary that he is the most NFL ready indicates how strong he feels about Wentz. He has not said that about any of the others.

It's not about whether Carson Wentz is ready for the NFL. It's whether the NFL is ready for Carson Wentz.

And that answer is no.

So you're saying we shouldn't take him?

I'm saying the league won't know how to defend him, Judas.

Dig up Tom Landry. He won't have any answers either.

Oh, I thought maybe you had jumped ship. Saw the light. Decided you value cornerbacks more than any other position. Something along those lines.

Didn't Gruden like R.G. III? ;)

As I recall, he liked RG3s ability and his intelligence but he said that he needed to work on his drop backs out of center and his ability to read the entire field. Said he needed to learn to trust his passing abilities more because running in the NFL would put him out of the game.

I think he was actually spot on. RG3 is not stupid and if he had taken coaching, he would have probably been successful. His problem was that he didn't want to get away from what he did in College. Eventually, it cost him and the Coaching Staff. The guy is not stupid and he has an arm. The problem with RG3 is that he didn't want to change.

Shucks. Oh well, looks like he's a Brown.

Darn our luck!

why would anyone listen to what Gruden says, it's not like he would know anything about NFL offenses or QBs. What has he ever done to make him think he can evaluate QBs. Let's instead listen intently to what these you tube, scouts wannbe's that create blog's during draft time. LOL

a lot of souls will be disappointed- it won't be Goff and it won't be Wentz. Dallas will draft Lynch at 4 or on a trade down. Remember this thread
