Always on My Mind = Jerruh on my mind
I would assume you are pretty accurate on this. Sounds like Odell has been looking for a multi year deal, and really doesnt want to do this again next season. The details of a contract for next year is probably the biggest factor. My guess is that that would be the... or at least, "a"... sticking point...
Seems to me, a team option is more likely to be a big number based on the optimal performance imaginable... but can the cap allow for that?
Whereas, a player option is more likely to be a small number based on minimal performance, and that lets OBJ get back in the market for something more.
My guess is that the player option... option... is more likely.

Reasonably otherwise nopePlease sign him jerruh
Maybe he wants to make the team better. Ever thought of that? This ridiculous, Jerry Jones-produced dog & pony show has all been about keeping the Cowboys in the news. To that aim, it has succeeded spectacularly. As a meaningful football story, it's a nothing-burger.
I’m with you.I have no issue with it either way. I would not mind getting OBJ but it really comes down to the terms of the contract. Cowboy need to have some protection in this deal given the injury.
Tank is a real one
If something does get done, I’m betting it’s effectively just for this season. Maybe an option for ‘23, but no guarantees.
