after disappointing us for 3-4 years, Crawford lost his job at 3T the moment Maliek Collins returned from breaking his foot.

Then, in an effort to probably save face on that idiotic contract extension, the team tried moving him to strong side end after telling us for 3 years he's the future at 3T... only to be outplayed by David Irving.

Crawford is a $10M/yr JAG who's been regulated to spot duty as a base end.

And as if that isn't enough, he constantly runs his mouth and is never shy to mention his most recent injury as an excuse for his play... which seems to happen every year once the hype dies down and everyone realizes again what a JAG he is.

The day he no longer wears the star can't come soon enough.
Well, you remember that differently than I do. Crawford was moved to DE because of Lawrence's injury and Gregory's suspension (and ineffective play by Mayowa until the last month). Your spot duty base end led the team in QB pressures last season. No, he wasn't a stud, but neither is Hankins.

really simple buddy, they dont ask you how many points you lost by, you lost. I dont care if they beat us by a 1/2 point. Only cowboy fans are looking for moral victories. WE lost. They go by wins and losses.

Did we get that medal or parade for playing Witten? Did we get a medal or a trophy for coming close? How many of those parades have you been to?
In a season we went 13-3 your crying about two losses by a combined 4 points. You must be awesome at parties.

Chris Baker, Bennie Logan and Jonathan Hankins have now exited stage left. Can anyone explain the thought process? Dallas wins the division on the backs of an All Pro running game and the division lets all their beef go.

Great point. I'm digging it. And I'd guess that Zeke and our offensive line are too.

Some here have no idea how good Hankins was for the Giants... and how much he impacted our games against them.

Well I'm glad they lost their anchor against the run. It really does help us against them, and yeah I hope we do realize that.

I want to see who they draft now.

Way too much optimism, you guys act like they just lost Lawrence Taylor. Hankins was good, above average good, but he didn't shine until Harrison came on board last year and commanded more attention and double teams. They also resigned JPP who is one of the best DE run stoppers and pass rushers in the league which is a rare combination (assuming he stays healthy which is a big if). If you recall, the Midgets still beat us without JPP in the second game.

Unfortunately for us this draft is loaded with defensive talent. The loss of Hankins will hurt but to act like we'll start running all over Little Blue just because he's gone is laughable.

Unfortunately for us? Last time I checked, our top needs are on defense. So, I'm happy its loaded with d talent.

Hankins isn't the first casualty. They also have Pugh, Richburg, and Beckham contracts on the way next year. Keeping in mind the money that they dump trucked into their defense last year.

Oh the benefits of winning the offseason

True dat. You know what I meant though. I doubt they replace Hankins with someone quite as good but someone who is serviceable enough to prevent us from running all over them like some people here think.

Another thing people don't consider is he was a very good run stopper but not a great pass rusher for that system. If they draft a tackle who is quicker, Dak will have his hands full.

I'm happy he's gone but I'm realistic. Big deal? For the most part, no. It also clears up more cap space for them so who knows what they'll do. If they draft a legit linebacker I'll be po'd.

Regardless, we'll be fine. Their o line sucks and they've done nothing to address it other than bring in Fluker who isn't better than anyone they already have and an injury prone fullback to help their pathetic o line. Fortunately for us this is a horrible draft for offensive linemen so I don't see them having much more success on offense than last year regardless who they have at running back or receiver.

No you're not, people making too big of a deal. Snacks was the biggest reason for Hankins success.

NY's run defense was ranked #2 last year. Before that? #24, #30, #12, & #26.

Harrison has been with NY since '12.

Well last year was Hankins' worst season as a Pro so saying Harrison made him is complete nonsense and shows you have no idea what you're talking about

my whole take on that has been We dont have to start witten. He doesnt need to play and start he can just be part time, packages, 3rd and short. Something like that. This whole starting him has irked me off for hte last two seasons , let him be part time, keep him fresh, keep him thinking about the game instead of being beaten on for no reason.

That way lies madness.
