Jonathan Mingo - WR - Ole Miss

I wouldn't mind taking him in the third or any round after.

What are your thoughts on him?

I like him as a mid round pick.............needs some time to develop, dont think he is ready to play day 1.

That is the mistake we made with Jalen Tolbert last year, was a 3rd round pick out of a small school and was not ready to play in the NFL right away.

In a class starved for big receivers, I don't know why he doesn't get talked about more.

I'd gladly take him with our second. For big WRs, the measurables you want to see are good size-adjusted speed and strong jumps for explosiveness, and Mingo absolutely smashed both out of the park.

The production didn't work out in college, so you are buying the traits over the tape, but the upside is a gamebreaker #1 at the league's 2nd most valuable position.

It's not hard to see him becoming an AJ Brown or DK type pro (scouting the helmet!), and both of those dudes play for about $25M a season. The risk-reward balances out at a pretty high pick for me, because the potential reward of signing the next Brown for 4 years $4M is just soooo fat.

Good points...........like you said, the lack of production in college is kinda a red flag so you are drafting pretty much of what you project he can be in the pros.

That is a big risk, but the reward is big as well if he pans out.

Yea, he’s arguably the most underrated WR in the class for me. #1 size and athleticism and 9+ RAS score.

His tape from last year is pretty impressive and he has a great senior bowl.

I could see a team grabbing him in the 2nd.

He could give us a reason to run some 4WR sets too

100%

I’d take him the 2nd round. He’s one of the few receivers in this draft I’d project as a bonafide #1 receiver. He reminds me a lot of AJ Brown.

All that said, I haven’t seen any reports that we’ve met with him.

Yea, I mean I want to get another young player to develop to pair up with Tolbert.

Really want to get MGs contract off the books.
We have Cooks for two years pretty much correct?

If he puts his typical 70-1000, I think they will move from Gallup

Same.

I just read the Cowboys are working out ex Ole Miss WR Laquon Treadwell.
