Jonathan Mingo's stats for his Cowboys Debut: 4 targets 0 catches for 0 yards

His blocking was excellent. Go look at it. Is this a lie? He waa also open and the qb missed him. Is this not true?
He got open on a sloppy route so no I do not get much joy from that
AND anyone that thinks blocking is a critical skill for a WR over route running and catching the ball has no cred

He was open 3 times. Qb missed him 3 times. I never said the AND part. This thread is ridiculous.

Nobody is saying Mingo is not serviceable, but there is no world that exist where the Panther's #5 WR is worth a 4th round pick, especially a high 4th round pick since we probably dont win more than one more game this year.
Nobody? Really?

I only saw two of the targets and megatron couldn’t have caught either pass.
Having said that, a 4th for him was definitely “Jerry Stupid.”
So he is bad because the QB could not get the ball to him?

As expected, really this another in the line of recent Jerry issues, as I noted a couple of weeks ago, I really think dementia is setting in on Jerry, the threats to the interviewer a short time ago the best example. I mean, trading away a draft pick, even a 4th rounder, for a guy who's done absolutely nothing as an NFL receiver when the team needs every draft pick they can get their hands on?

That's not stupidity, it shows a lack of basic understanding of even the simplest football decisions.

Don't misunderstand me, not wishing ill for Jerry. wouldn't wish that on anyone, but I'm also not burying my head in the sand, either, I call it like I see it...

Broaduss said today that his blocking was excellent. He called him a beast. Also anybody that actually watched him could see that those passes were off target and uncatchable.
His blocking really stood out. Mingo blocks better than our tight ends. He remind me of Noah Brown. Hopefully he will make more plays but Mingo is playable so that is more than you can ask for a 4th round pick. Mingo and Flournoy need to set tents up in the Dak yard in the offseason.

Not down on the kid just because he hasn't done anything of note since he's been in the league, I'll give him a chance, but it's not usual that a player comes into the league with tons of talent and the team doesn't use him hardly at all.

But how many players have we seen Jerry pick up off the trash pile and folks here immediately rave over him, how he's a steal, he'll be a big help, he's somebody that can help the young guys, can fill a hole we need, etc. etc.

Like the Seattle guy, a beast there, and all he did here was get offsides and other penalties and just sucked up cap space.

Sorry, I seriously doubt he'll ever amount to anything....

That 4th rounder we gave up is looking very pricey for that Mingo fella.

BB and Voch were saying he had some good blocks.

He was great at tieing his shoes too those knots were amazing what a trade

The fact Jerry actually was a buyer and not a seller just shows how ignorant he was. The writing was on the wall after the Lions game. This team was garbage and it extended back to the Packers playoff game. We have now wasted two 4th rd picks on guys who are useless, Lance and Mingo. On top of the Dak and Ceedee extensions where he beat his chest over how great he is.

We spent more on Mingo than we got in return for a prime Amari Cooper :lmao:

How do you know that at this point?

Catches and production is overrated.

They bounced 4 passes off his head? It's like Wayne Gretzky said: You drop 100% of the passes you don't catch.

Seems like he's off to a good start.
