Again, who put the DNA on JonBenet and left the shoeprint in the basement?

The DNA, according to a report a few years ago, could have came from the manufacturing process of her panties. I'm not saying that it did, but that little amount of DNA is proof of nothing either way.

Her clothes had been washed over and over, so any dna from the manufacturing would have been gone.

Just thinking, unless her panties were new from Christmas. Has that been made known?

That would be kind of odd, wouldn't it?

The point is, DNA is easily transferrable. Two pieces of anything rubbing together transfers it, including air. If you breathe in a room, it leaves your DNA all over the room.

So unknown dna for any other case, it can just be said it's from the manufactuer. Easy way out I guess.

This is CBS capitalizing on the 'Making a Murderer' success. It reminds me of a Bigfoot or Loc Ness type documentary.

They cannot view evidence in the case just use public knowledge to hopefully piece stuff together. With the lack of evidence, contaminated crime scene, the fact the father "found" the body, it all points to a Ramsey or one of the neighbors, or some combination.

There is a farfetched chance it was a burglar who used the foreign flashlight when spooked by a JonBenet, but I think one of the parents could have equally done it if she had wet the bed.

Plus who makes a "bungled" attempt to kidnap and still writes that weird note? A lot of things wrong they would have figured out how incapacitate her without hitting her.

Maybe. But it seems unlikely that a 9 yr old could hold up against a sophisticated police interrogation. That seems too much to ask of a child... it is not believable to me. The Police are not stupid unless, everything considered, they simply let it stay unsolved for the sake of the living child and the family??

I think therein lies the problem... It wasn't sophisticated. It was a slipshod investigation job from the get-go.

Someone that's going to break into a house to kidnap a 5 year-old... They're going to have a history of doing that. And they're going to do it again. On top of that trying to kidnap a kid from an affluent home, with all the bells & whistles an affluent home would have? No, only an idiot would do that and an idiot would get caught at some point.

This was an inside job.

Read a book on the Martha Moxley murder... Similar type of investigation. You take a police dept that's not use to investigating a real homicide and all hell breaks loose and proper procedure goes out the door.

Intruder. Makes no sense why anyone in the family would use a garrote on the neck.

It's just BS to capitalize further on the "real crime" stuff that's been popular ever since Serial did their podcast. I'm not watching this sensationalist crap.
Murder and death as entertainment is a pretty crazy but unfortunately American obsession the past 20 years it seems. Just look at CBS lineup over that time, ppl can't seen to get enough they just add a city name to the end of a show to fit more murder and gore in. If you're old enough you may remember the era of sitcoms. I miss those days... Lol

Finished watching 2 part episodes of show. They dismissed intruder theory, saying inside job. And they didn't mention these important details for intruder theory...

Specific Evidence of Intruder Entry
1. Ramseys "have indicated that their house was not secure during the night of December 25, 1997, and that they had not turned their security alarm on.
2. "at least seven windows and one door were found "open" on the morning of December 26, 1997. "The term "open" was not defined. It is, therefore, not clear if the entrances were ajar or unlocked."
3. "the butler's door to the kitchen was found ajar that morning. Defendants note that the butler's door was only a short distance away from the spiral staircase where the Ransom Note was found and within plain view of where the pad of paper used for the Ransom Note was found.

What Other Evidence May Have Been Left by an Intruder?
1. Animal Hair on Duct Tape. "Animal hair, alleged to be from a beaver, was found on the duct tape. Nothing in defendants' home matches the hair.
2. Animal Hairs on JBR's Hands. "Dark animal hairs were found on JonBenet's hands that also have not been matched to anything in defendants' home.
3. Footprints in Basement. "Several recently-made unidentified shoeprints were found in the basement, imprinted in mold growing on the basement floor. In particular, a shoeprint of a "HI-TEC" brand mark on the sole of a shoe was found. Defendants do not own any "HI-TEC" brand shoes, and none of the shoes found in their home match the shoeprint marks. Another partial shoeprint was found near where JonBenet's body was found. This shoeprint left only a partial logo. The owner of the "HI-TEC" shoe that made the shoeprints at the murder scene has never been identified.
4. Baseball Bat. "A baseball bat not owned by the Ramseys found on the north side of the house has fibers consistent with fibers found in the carpet in the basement where JonBenet's body was found.
5. Caucasian Hair on Blanket. "Likewise, an unidentified Caucasian "pubic or auxiliary" hair, not *1357 matching any Ramsey, was found on the blanket covering JonBenet' body.

Yeah as really those were the good days of TV. But now it is indeed about murder, reality TV, and that of sex sells unfortunately. Geesh!
