I'm guessing the first one (as everyone mostly is) will be a Sunday nighter vs NYG or Wash, the 2nd one I think will be a MNF vs Atlanta or Carolina.

Prime time at home: Jones said the first two regular-season home games at the Cowboys new stadium will be in prime time.
The Cowboys' season opener will be at Denver, according to a source.
Yuck.

Always seemed to be a problem in the first half and more so in Sept and Oct.
I don't remember any last season.bbgun;2708169 said:I hope they have a couple of 12 PM home games scheduled, just to see how the shadows play out.

1) Teams always have a little extra juice for the first game. If you open on the road its like having 2 openers when you play your first game at home the next week.
2) One of the disadvantages of a road game is the travel. All teams get a few extra days before the opener reducing the impact of travel.
3) Getting a road game out of the way week one reduces the chance of getting stuck with back to back road games during the season.
What's key is getting an easier road game to start the year. If were up to me, I'd schedule the easiest road game to increase the chance of getting off 1-0.
Another scheduling advantage I was hoping for this year may come to pass. Historically speaking, prime time home games are always an advantage. Can't quote any numbers, but I always thought home teams in prime time had a higher winning percentage than home teams in standard time slots.
Looks like the NFL is going to go over the top to show case the new stadium in prime time.
Who knows, maybe we'll get 3 Sunday Night, 1 Monday Night, Thanksgiving and maybe even a Saturday Night NFL network game all at home.
That would be huge, 6 prime time games, none on the road.

We are just to much of a ratings draw for those early games.

Same here it was cool when we played carolina like three years in row.HomeOfLegends;2708060 said:It still kills me, the one year Dallas plays both Atlanta and Carolina which are 2 hour drives from me they just happen to be home games.
