Jones can't evaluate talent

If you go into the draft deciding you are just going to pick RB no matter what you deserve it when you end up with a player like a Taco or a Trysten Hill. Great players help teams regardless of the position, plus this team has so many holes that it would be hard to take a guy who didn't fill a need. You can watch the War Room and tell if it's fake joy or real joy. That was not a group of coaches who felt their owner and head scout just made a safe pick and had no plan. You can disagree with the actual player taken, but IMO what I want more than anything is to know the team took a guy that they loved and not a guy they felt filled the biggest hole. Round 1 for me the Jones Boyz and crew get a big thumbs up. That is what the draft is about and especially for teams that aren't one player away from a SB like us
From what Fish said, so take it for what it’s worth, we went into the draft wanting Tmac. He went before us so we drafted Booker. I remember in 1990 we wanted Steve Francis and the Bengals took him so we drafted some guy named Emmitt Smith.

I like the idea that we did not get stuck in drafting a WR and stayed true to the board. Getting stuck on a position leads to the Trysten Hills of the world.
