The guy who might be great at it is TO.

He is big and fast, would love to see Wade do it.All the injury hackles would come out in force tho.

Injury is part of the game and never stopped Deion.

TO TO TO TO :)

Julius and Austin should return the kicks, punts need to be done by the "best" hands on the team, ala Crayton...

This is a fantastic idea, and I wish I would have thought of it first.

That said, it ain't going to happen.

Jones was 2nd all time at ND behind Tim Brown on Kick returns and this is an area of weakness for Dallas right now. Myself I don't think you avoid playing guys because they could get injured.

He's actually #1 in front of Brown in both KO return yardage and total return yardage.

Brown and Ismail got all the hype thanks to ND being in the title hunt during their careers but overall, Jones was a better returner than either.

I want to see Jones and Stanback returning KOs and Stanback returning punts.

I don't like it for punts. He or Barber would make me nervous back there. Julius has never really looked natural catching passes, so him fetching punts may be difficult to watch.

Barber sounds good in theory, but so did Bill Bates at one time.

I think both or either would do well at kick off returns.

He fielded punts for four years at ND and I don't remember him muffing any.

Since he's a FA at the end of the year and may not be in Dallas next year, use him up. Dallas has to look long term and right now it seems that Jones isn't in future plans but Crayton is. I don't subscribe to the "injury" theory of return men but to be honest, if there is a risk, it's better to take it with a player who you only need for thirteen more games.

Mickey and someone else commented last week that Tyson Thompson is not the problem. They said in reviewing the take, the wedge guys are doing a poor job.

Jones' running style is perfect for kick returns. I think he would do a better job than Thompson.

No doubt he has better acceleration and better cutting abilities. Thompson has very good top speed but does not accelerate the way Ju Jones does.

Thompson also can not make anyone miss. Julius always looks good running in the open field. I really think they should give him a shot if he's willing.

Myself. I think he would increase his value with the team and have a chance to make a name for himself across the league. Anyone who saw him at ND returning kickoffs knows Jones has the ability to do the job.
