Jones Sticking With Henson - Fwst - Jennifer Floyd Engel

You have no idea how Parcells thinks. Sorry, that's been proven too many times to keep track of.

Having said that I agree with you on Henson not being ready and that is why he won't be used much this year. However, if you bothered to pay attention I was not talking about pre season. Nor was I talking solely about Drew henson. You see the word "Henson" and immediately get irate.

Here's a tip for you, every time his name (Henson's) is mentioned your manhood is not being called out. Everyone knows how you feel. It is impossible not to. You've been quite successful in making yourself a punch line. We get it.

In games that are out of reach, give the young QBs (that would mean both of them Nors) the experience they need to progress faster. Faster being the key word there. There is only so much progress that can be made by observing.

Once again. Did giving Hutch 9 full games in 2002 help him. No. Qb's who've been away from football for several years can't make up ground in a few games or even 2-3 years. What we ultimately found out was that Hutch was a waste of time and caused a rediculous non-existent qb controversy in 2002. Those 9 games might have helped QC to be more consistent in 2003 when he helped us win 10 games. Henson is taking a roster spot that would have been better spent on Aaron Rodgers,Jason Campbell,Charlie Frye or even Kyle Orton. We keep looking for the holy grail of Qb's, when it would be better to take a qb from a major school who has played with regularity recently. No doubt that those qb's will be starting long before Henson because their not re-learning football, they're building on recent success.

Truth be told Nors, he's actually outplayed Bledsoe as well.

That's an exagerration, Romo has only played against backups which doesn't count for much.

Sorry, as you and I both know, Romo has no chance of beating out Bledsoe, as Henson had no chance of taking over for Vinny last year. It is the way of things. No matter what you want to read into it, Parcells likes the guys he is experienced with.

With that being said, Romo is a capable backup. I like Romo. I really do. And hope he can serve his purpose well. Henson has time to develop, and Jones, thank goodness, sees that.

Are you kidding? Jones still liked Hutch after 2002, in which he was a dismal failure. He lost to a horrible Commander team in the finale. SHEESH!

And Romo is nothing more than a recently signed, two year backup until proven otherwise. I for one would like to see Romo push Bledsoe. I do like his on the field behavior.

As for Henson, he has time to learn.

Hopefully Henson learns that he should have stayed in baseball where he belongs and stops stealing Jerry's money.

Just like QC who should have stayed in baseball and not stolen Jerry's money and my time.

A job normally reserved for you? You guys need to just stop. This guy will eventually be ready. When he is, we will see what happens. Until then, all this amounts to not much.

Why do you insist that Henson will eventually be ready? He's shown absolutely nothing. He can't even beat out an udfa who has had 0 starts. Many here had the same blind loyalty to Hutch, saying he wasn't given a fair chance, yet look at him now, all but gone in Chicago, a team that finished 32nd in passing last year. Henson = Hutch. We should be looking to the future at the qb position and not pinning all of our hopes on this guy, cause it will be a miracle if he amounts to anything.

I saw the game and I didn't think he played all that badly, considering.

So why was he pulled? I'll tell you why. We were going to lose to one of the worst teams in the league and he played worst than all of their crappy qb's. I don't our turkey would have went down very well losing to the bad news bears for crying out loud.

Now that's an exaggeration. Still, he has played better than Bledsoe so far no matter how you try and spin it.

Waffle said:
Agreed. He already jettisoned another player who fit that same description. Henson has to prove he can play before Parcells just throws him out there to "learn" at everyone else's expense.

I'm not sure who the player you're referring to is.

QC is the only qb we've had any success with lately, so as far as staying in baseball, he proved he could play in this league, Henson has been shown up by Romo and all of the Bears qb's.LOL

So what you're saying is that there's no difference between 1st and 2nd stringers. HUH! Look. I like Romo, but if you put him in against starters, he wont look nearly as good and if you put Bledsoe in against backups, he'll look a lot better than he is. What's your point?

Hutch has not shown he can....QC can not either as it seems he is too busy in rehab.

Both of those were former baseball players not just Henson.

What teams roster is QC on again? NONE

How long before Hutch is gone from Chi-Town? Remains to be seen

How long will Henson be on this team? Remains to be Seen.

One thing is for sure...for someone that was as huge of a homer as you were concerning QC you sure do a 180% on henson when both were baseball players who chose baseball over football until baseball did not pan out.

Furthermore QC did not put his team first and decided that taking drugs were more important...so to heck with him as he is no longer a Dallas Cowboy.

Hutch is no longer a Dallas Cowboys so I really do not care what happens to him.

Henson is STILL a Dallas Cowboy at this point so until he leaves this team then I will root for him, just as I root for Tony and Just as I will root for Bledsoe because unlike some...I am a dallas cowboys fan first not a specific QB fan.

Hey...Bledsoe played against BACKUPS in the Pittsburgh game last season and looked horrific. And that was with a playoff berth on the line no less.

My point is that Romo has looked better than Bledsoe so far in the pre-season, period. Go back and watch the Arizona and Houston games. Romo did in fact play several snaps against starting defenses. I know for a fact that Arizona kept many of their defensive starters in the game during the 2nd quarter.
