Pippen says they sweep the Warriors in four games.

Funny the retroactive trash talk from one of the most overrated players of all time.

I personally disagree and I think the players across the board are better nowadays. Also think the officiating protectionist job the refs did on the Bulls allowed them to get the record whereas the Warriors have gotten no such treatment. I think these old players showing their jealousy by criticizing the Warriors is comedic and shows some serious insecurities.
I hope GS gets their 73.

Man, you are insane. I have been following the NBA since the late 1970s. Ask some of the NBA's greatest players such as Kobe, Magic, Barkley, Bird, even Jordan, etc., about him being overrated. They wouldn't stop laughing. Players across the board aren't mentally better, not even close. Are you like in your 20s? Those Bulls teams won 6 TITLES. Warriors 1. Get back to me when they do that.

For a small forward who scored 20+ ppg and 1+ bpg, 2+ spg, and 7-8rpg. Yeah, I'm going to go with no Pippen was not overrated. Now I agree that having Jordan on the team helped him not get doubled, he still put up great numbers and there isn't a team in existence who wouldn't want Pippen on their team. He was a two way player and very good both ways.

While I think the Warriors would be defeated by other great teams that had bigger lineups, mainly the Lakers/Celtics/Pistons of the 80s, I can see the argument, that the Warriors' small ball lineup would be too fast to keep up with. I disagree, but an argument could be made. The problem the Warriors would face playing the Bulls, is Chicago would be just fine playing a small ball lineup. They'd roll out Harper, Jordan, Kukoc, Pippen and Rodman and be just fine against Curry, Klay, Igoudala, Barnes and Green. The trio of Jordan, Pippen and Rodman would just dominate the trio of Curry, Thompson and Green. They have just never faced the type of defensive pressure that they would there. Harper+Kukoc vs Barnes_Igoudala would more or less be a wash, but the big 3 vs the big 3 would be a no contest. Not to mention, who checks Jordan? You can put Green on him, but then Rodman kills you on the boards, to the tune of 20+. At his current age, the idea of Igoudala checking Jordan is laughable, so I guess you go with Klay, which more than likely means his offensive production tanks from having to guard Jordan.

Pippen and Jordan would be enough to slow Curry down enough that the rest of the Warriors team couldn't beat the Bulls. Those guys were defensive linchpins.

While it is all conjecture, I'd love to hear some one's point of view as to how the Warriors beat the Bulls. Where is the matchup they exploit?

depends on the rules. Hand check would really hurt the Warriors guards especially a smaller Curry.

The Jordan Bulls were the best defensive team of all time. I don't think people realize how great of a defender Ron Harper was. Then you had Jordan and Pippen who were both incredible defenders. Pippen even moreso because he could guard point guards to power forwards. Then you had Rodman, who could defend literally anybody on the court.

I'm a big Steph Curry fan, but he can't do it all himself and as great of a scorer as Curry is, Jordan would arguably be better. I just don't see the Warriors playing enough defense to keep up with the Bulls. That and Jordan's ultra competitiveness willing the Bulls to victory.

I don't know that Jordan was a better scorer, but Curry isn't anywhere near the defender. You tie the two together, and Curry is a lopsided record.

Only thing Curry has over Jordan offense wise is being of course the best 3pt shooter (of all time). Curry wouldn't get the easy free looks at the 3pt line as he gets in today's game against that Bulls d.
