Does anyone else think that ACLs seem to occur as "freak accidents" without contact because these guys get some of their muscles so big it causes imbalances to their joints such that even landing slightly the wrong way can cause them?

It has zip to do with the call. It has to do with being gracious in winning and losing. Took me a long time to understand that. Gloating because a guy got hurt says what about the character of the one gloating?

But do what you do.

So...off topic, but what is with you posting that guitar in your sig. I play a lot of guitar and was just wondering why you have that there?

Cry me a river . . . . . . . . . . . . Packers fans . . . . .

Sorry but I wish nothing but misfortune on that team that was gifted a trip to the NFCCG last year while the deserving team sat at home. Feel bad for the individual player, but nothing more.

So if Dez blows his ACL you'll feel OK because, from the perspective of Lions' fans we were gifted their game and got to play the Pack - right?

Michael Irvin did the same thing when he tore his ACL back in the day. Walked off, and I thought he was fine. Nope. Missed the whole season.

After he came back I cringed every time he got tackled for like 2 seasons. I kept expecting him to re-injure it. ACL surgery wasn't as advanced back in the day, and I had little faith in it.

Totally different circumstances. The lions had another play after that call. The lions had the lead after that call. The lions had the ball with a chance to win after that call. And I still don't see the interference on that play anyway. The Te grabbed the face mask. Only contact made was the defender trying to get his hand off his face mask. The ball was way behind the player he had no chance to catch it regardless. Now if you want to say they missed a holding call and a face mask call and the play should have been done over I can agree with that. But that call or non call was not the difference in that game. The Dez call was.

So our D had no chance to man up and get the ball back from GB?

Doesnt matter. They were the beneficiaries.

Hey, for all you fans that are sympathetic to the Packers, Im sure they have a fan forum or two that you can post sympathies on. This is a Cowboys board. Which means its not pro Packers.

The people who are sympathetic aren't Packers fans, they are just not broken inside. Some of you are. The rest of us feel empathy.

Honestly, I still cringe when guys like Dez or Romo get hit. Maybe all NFL fans do, I don't know.

One injury can make such a big difference on a football team that only plays a 16 game season.

Why would I feel ok? Im a Cowboys fan.

This thread is reaching heights of idiocy seldom reached even here in the CZ.

Truly all fan bases are about the same. Most think the call for their team is the right one and most think the call against their team is the wrong one.

This leap of logic is a small one indeed.

In every NFL fan base there will be those who cheer rivals injuries and those who feel sorry for the player. There is an even larger group who act like they feel for the player but secretly are elated for the injury. I'm thinking this group might contain even more than we could guess.

It is all just people, no matter what team it is. Some each one of us will agree with. Some we won't. Some we will despise, and others we admire.

None of us should be surprised one iota at what football fans say and do. People are ultimately very predictable.

Yeah, I understand. I'm just joking around really... I'm not bagging on Florida at all. It is really nice there.

I do not like Miami though.

Miami has a little bit of everything. Its its own lil world. I dont mind it too much since I only go there by my choice. Where I live its a much slower pace and quiet.
