LOL you’ve really got some nerve, I’ll give you that.

Dak has absolutely pummeled you since last season. Beaten you down like a dog.

You ASSURED us that his standing in the league would take a major hit following the 2021 season.

Then the QB rankings from NFL personnel came out and *GASP* it turns out that they universally agree that you know nothing about this sport.

Nobody with any credibility agrees with you about Dak, the QB who just led the NFL’s #1 offense in terms of yards AND points.

You bleat to a loud minority of know-nothing anti-Dakkers on this board and choose to live in an alternate reality.

Truly pathetic.
:laugh::laugh::laugh:

he posts about Dak 100 times a day I swear. Like what did he do to you man

Hey now! Have to worry about contracts 3-4 years down the line!

They have nearly $23 million in cap right now. Releasing Zeke and Smith next offseason puts them around $27 million in space. That’s $50 million in cap space next offseason
I think I read that they are 17 mil over next year without any moves.

Seems like Dak is universally considered Top 10 in the NFL based on QB polls I come across.

Based on eye test and how difficult it is to fill the position with a player you can trust...I just dont get why so many people waste time spewing negativity about Daks contract. No one in their right mind is letting this guy walk because they want to "be like Belicheck" and cut players before they get paid. No one with anything of significant value on the line is at least. But arm chair GM's have nothing of significant value on the line so they can ralph up any point of view they want with no loss.

Dak's contract is fine.

A lot of this season is going be about whether CeeDee is going to deserve huge contract extension when it’s time and whether Dak is worthy of a third contract. He’ll be wanting close to $50 million per the next time around.

That $50 million in space has Daks contract already included
Absolutely, but that is also $50MM without a full roster so the full story really isnt being told. In my initial response I probably phrased it incorrectly where readers thought I was saying the $50MM in cap space and Daks contract canceling each other out.

I'm just saying Daks contract starts to explode next year and i'm not sure if they have the flexibility to restructure again to bring that number down as we already have over $20MM committed to that 2025 voidable year. I'm sure they could if they wanted to, but it gets to a point where they mortgage the future to an extent that it puts resigning the Parsons, Diggs, etc. into a questionable state. The other piece that I'm not sure about but a cap expert on here may be able to educate me, but is the voidable year able to be manipulated with a Dak extension or is there any way to sort of erase that number with a future deal.

My concern is people are seeing 20-50MM available next year as free spending, but by the time you resign a couple guys, start possible negotiations with a Ceedee Lamb for example, and factor in that Jerry/Stephen will want to once again roll over some cap space for the following year our cap situation isnt exactly great.

He elevated Gallup and Wilson…like what else do they want? They keep using his salary as a excuse maybe they need a new cap guy but at the same they have 20 million right now and are holding on to it.
The FO is cheating the Cowboys fans out of 20 million in talent .
There should be a new rule in the NFL that 100% of a team's salary cap must be used every season.

I actually admire Dak as a person. The guy has been through a lot in his life, with his brother committing suicide after losing his mom. I don't think he's a so-called "elite" quarterback, but I think he can win for us, especially if our defense takes the next step this year. That's what he really needs to put him over the top. That, and to be able to take the game into his own hands. Parcells was good at conveying to Romo how to do that without turning it over.

People talk about how no team has won the NFCE two years in a row in almost two decades. But I think this year is different. This year, we still have most of the core of our team from last year in tact. If they end up getting Peters signed, that's at least a workable solution with Smith and Peters on the left side. Not quite Tyron Smith, but it's still doable. And you can put Tyler Smith at guard, which I think is one of the biggest keys to this season.

Tyler Smith can run block from the tackle position. But if he's run blocking from the guard position, our run game will be dominant.

I agree with this unless our OL situation just turns tragically bad. How can you blame Dak or CeeDee for that...if anything you have to throw shade at Moore for not being creative enough or for not being able to use what strengths we have to overcome the OL situation.

But...I agree with your post. Ceedee seems good to me. I dont know about route running, locker room personality or his ability to absorb and know the playbook...but he seems like a fine receiver any team would want. Dak might be in a fish bowl for sure. Im curious is Jerry and Steven might have gotten worn out by Dak and his agent on negotiations last contract and are reluctant to work with them again unless Dak shows he can pull the team with a bad O-Line. Just seems weird how long that contract took to get done....almost as if Dallas didnt want to pay Dak. Which leads me to thinking maybe Dak does have major flaws that coaches are whispering to Jerry and Stephen about. But Daks play passes the eye test for me. Hes not a turnover machine and seems to be a leader who can at least drive the bus. But if there are major issues with throwing into tight spaces or things like that...do you really just not pay Dak and draft a QB who is unproven? Just doesnt seem like thats what GM's do. Its not like Dak is just trash.

It’s definitely going to get interesting because the Cowboys want to see if CeeDee can be a number one receiver and if Dak can excel with what he has around him. I think the Joneses have gotten to the point where they’re tired of paying big money on players and not see it pay dividends. They have some big decisions they’re going to have to make in the next couple of years with CeeDee, Dak, Parsons and Diggs. One or two of those players could be odd men out.

Shouldn't Dak be more concerned with pummeling his opponents rather than worrying what people on an internet fan board think of him?

Another thing I want to know - do you enjoy Dak piling up stats more than you do winning games? It sure seems that way. But then, that's all you have to talk about since he has won only 1 meaningful game in 6 seasons.

She's absolutely right!!! Dak has to elevate this offense in order for us to get much further than we went last year. His task will be harder this year with a weakened o-line and many questions surrounding unproven receiving corp depth, but he still have to push through.

Dak do better! Everyone else, play like crap. That is the way to a championship.

It doesn't matter what the FO say and how accurate they are. MOST of our fans will hate them anyway so there's just no point honestly. I for one agree, if your THAT guy then be THAT guy
