Ex-Dallas Cowboys running Joseph Randle was arrested outside of a Kansas casino last night ... after he was told to leave and went berserk on cops on the way out ... TMZ Sports has learned.

We've confirmed ... 23-year-old Randle was arrested at 10:40 PM in front of the Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane, KS.

Sources at the casino tell us he was initially asked to leave for being too drunk -- but on the way out, spit on the floor and assaulted a security officer.

We cut this dude at the right time. Seriously how much of an idiot can you be? Smh waste of talent.

Felony criminal charges. Does that mean we need to resign this guy?

Kidding aside. I thought he looked pretty good last season and had some hope that he cold fill the gap this season. Pretty sad that guys like this squander the rare opportunity to play a game and make lots of cash doing it.

He needs psychological help, not jail necessarily. Something in his brain isn't functioning correctly.

He's a habitual criminal offender.

He's assaulted a woman, failed a drug test, stolen underwear and now assaulted security at a casino cause he can't handle his booze.

And that's just the stuff he's been caught for.

Sometimes people are just irresponsible and stupid. Not some complicated psychological disorder here - he's just an idiot.

When did he assault a woman? Its enough stuff he actually did where you don't have to make up stuff.

Randle might have a problem though he keeps getting into stuff he shouldn't esp if he wants to play again

You'd see a lot of these NFL guys in trouble with the law if it weren't for football. Most of these guys are just not intelligent people.

yeah and randle is one that isnt too bright, I feel a little sad for him, he needs help and guidance, or he could wind up in bad situation.
I think he has some sort of mental issues too, after calling cowboys and saying he was paranoid.

And of course idiots on Twitter are shredding Jerry Jones and saying he'll probably sign him back because he's showing him the skills he needs to be a leader. Good riddance. I know he's got all kinds of problems but it all comes back to him. The Cowboys gave him every chance to take the starting job and he didn't take it. He obviously doesn't get it

When I heard about this the only thing I could think was "I hope he followed his mom's advise to wear clean underwear. You never can telll when you will be in a emergency situation and you don't want to embarass mom in front of doctors, nurses or jailers."

"He was booked on suspicion of criminal threat, assault of a law enforcement officer, battery, disorderly conduct, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and interference with a law enforcement officer."

They threw the book at him! Still in jail - can't make the $25,000 bond.

I don't see him ever turning it around.... NFL career is obviously over and he lacks the mental strength to start over in the real world.

He didn't just become an idiot though, we drafted him knowing he was an idiot and only cut him when it was apparent he wasn't that great of a player.

Make no mistake about it, if Randle rattled off 4 straight 100 yard games to start the season, he's still on the team, so don't get on that high horse just yet.

Huh? Which high horse am I on? I simply made the statement he is an idiot and he was doing stupid stuff off the field even on the team. As a rebuttal that this incident isn't a result of him being depressed of being cut.

What infuriates me more than anything is when I read these stories (same with Johnny Manziel) and realize that God put all this talent into an individual and that individual decided to throw it all away. It is maddening because so many people (especially on these boards) would give almost anything to play a game we have all loved since we were kids and get paid millions to do it.

I cannot say I've walked the same path as a Johnny Manziel or Joseph Randle, so I cannot fully appreciate their situations, but I cannot wrap my head around ANY set of circumstances (short of addiction, injury, or other life emergency) that would cause someone to consciously throw away an opportunity that most of us would be completely thrilled with.

Oh well ...

true but athletes are wired differently than we are, football players are adrenaline junkies, macho men who think the world owes then cause they can ball, mostly because they have been enabled simply because they can ball

and remember to not forget, the schools and colleges coddle them. They can do no wrong and suddenly they are adults and well, money and adulthood are always a dangerous mix, let me tell you.
