When I was in Vietnam we had a word for someone who couldn't get the job done. He could be incompetent, or lazy, or incapable. That was a dud.

When people here stated he was used up, that would be the same definition of dud to me. Why I have to explain this to anyone is beyond me. Other than this is the off season.

As far as people stating Randall was the future, you are wrong. The mere comment he won't leave meat on the bone like Murray surely encompasses that thinking.

I'm done now. You kids can find someone else to bother.

Sounds good. For the record I wanted to bring Murray back. Enjoy your Sunday

The problem is that won't help from being a knucklehead.

The time element of his incarceration isn't really a relevant factor nearly as much as whether or not he's willing to change his ways. Doing time can either be helpful to his future or otherwise. I merely mentioned the time element of his incarceration as a point of interest. During that time, getting rehabilitated should rightfully get underway ASAP. He'll either be receptive to psychiatric counseling or not. In any case, he evidently needs help desperately. He'll either change or he won't -- if not, his life will be cursed even more. Here's hoping he comes to realize that.

Athletes that have made it as far as Randle share these traits: they have been treated as special since they were in Junior High. From that point on they got away with things and were protected from the consequences. All through High School and college. When you are talking years of such then the idea that the rules, laws, etc do not apply to me becomes very prevalent. It takes a very serious attitude change to remedy that. Not many can do that.

Hope he will learn from this and get his life together. He had an opportunity that most young atheletes can only dream about. Sometimes I think this is lost on some professional atheletes, in any sport.

There was a lengthy article about him on Sports illustrated that suggests Randle may be suffering from mental illness. Good read.
I feel sorry for the guy. Some people are bad, but in his case I believe something is not clicking in that head.

He may end up being an award winning author by publishing a book titled "how to f-up a lucrative career in one short year".

I think there could be a lot of people writing chapters on that.

The Hernandez chapter will be ghost written. From what I hear.

Word is out now. Moving this to the NFL Zone and cleaning up the front page.
