I started a thread earlier this year questioning Joseph Randle. Only 1 preseasonand gm, but I came away impressed with him last night. Good vision, acceleration, got to the edge. He quietly did what he needed to do to improve his game and I can respect that to the utmost. @ 198 lbs, he seems light for a 6' rb, but it doesnt seem to matter when he has the rock.

Kudos to Randle, and i think we need these types of threads now. Lets see what the bubble or hanger on guys have and lets discuss both sides of it. It was a small window to information but he did with what was in front of him. Big effort from him last nite.

I thought Williams had more burst that Randle, but Randle was more productive. It should be an interesting battle. When you are backup you need to find ways to get on the field. I believe Randle made a special teams tackle and also looked good on pass protection. Williams, I believe, did not have a good of a night in pass protection. Those are factors when you are competing for one of the depth roster spots.

I hope to see more of Williams. On his early carries he looked at least a half of step faster than Randle. He also appears to have more wiggle.

He will be a good RB for us. He made two defenders look silly and then drug two more on that ten yard run. Can't wait to see him as a receiver which was one of his strengths last year.

He is perfect for this OL IMO. A lot like Murray. I like our options at RB, whether its him or Williams. Dunbar is fun, but I'll believe in him when he plays a few games in a row first

Good start on the pre season from Randle just needs to keep it up and continue to work hard.

He looked like a different back. Good vision, made ppl miss, made a special teams tackle. Williams looked equally impressive.
