Josh Allen Anybody?

Wishing Dak would get hurt. And he got about a dozen likes. I took a screenshot of it and posted it asking him about it but my screenshot was deleted and his comment stayed. I truly believe that the powers that be are Romo fans and they love to see the trolls here constantly trolling Dak. Not saying they are bad people in real life but they are trolls. I know some of them I would have a beer with in real life because I've seen their posts in other forums, but here I'll call them trolls.

I still cant figure out why anyone would not love Dak as our QB? The guy is amazing. And to think we scored him with a 4th round pick. He should be hailed.

Its the sad Romo lovers that simply cant get over the fact that Romo quit on them. I loved Romo too, but it was time for him to go. And to have a guy like Dak ready to take over was a miracle.

What's laughable is folks still believe he is a franchise QB just because Jerry gave him a truckload of our cap.
Keep trying to carry him and GL with that......

Folks? How about the rest of the NFL and 31 other GMs. There was no question on if he was at the time of his contract other than Jerruh screwed the pooch for not signing him earlier. Only a few people who hate the guy spew this nonsense about him not being a franchise QB.

He's definitely a franchise QB. He has yet to show greatness though. Hopefully this is the year he can put it all together.

Well anyone rooting for Dak to get hurt needs to be ignored and yes they are an obvious troll.
I bring up the question because I see a lot of people called trolls and haters for saying things like "Dak is average" and "Dak needs to play better".
If someone is going to call out the mods on this board I expect a little bit of definition.

No doubt. Ultimately he will be measured by NFC title game appearances and Super Bowl wins. That’s how it’s done in Dallas.

Nah, we already have Rush as an able backup at the right price.

Screenshotting a post might be considered "calling out a poster", which is against the rules, regardless of whose side you're on. Maybe you're lucky they only deleted your post.

It's odd that my post was deleted for calling out a troll here that was wishing Dak get hurt, and his comment didn't get deleted. Here you can wish harm on a player and that's acceptable but calling out that person wishing harm on a player, isn't? You don't see anything odd about that?

Most QB's in the league can play very well with a lead, few QB's in the league can throw a team back into a game when the other team is covering...I would consider Josh Allen on that Bills team one of those QB's....No QB in the league ever could do it 100% of the time. Dak is also a QB who can throw his team back into a game but probably at a little less Rate than Allen...thats not a knock on Dak its a reality of Josh Allen having 1 of the 2 best arms in the league. People that obsess about Dak being bad are generally wrong on what was the problem...BUT there are a few games that Dak did not help the team when he tried to pull us back into a game..kinda like Allen in this game.

There isn’t a GM in the league that takes Dak over Allen. Dak is not on Allen’s level. Every QB has off days, some more than others. Until Dak can at least take this team to an NFC championship game the jury is out. It’s wide open for him this year, let’s see what he does. There is no Mahomes standing in his way in the NFC. Jalen Hurts and Kirk Cousins.

The fans that live in the moment probably don’t think as highly of Josh Allen as they did prior to the Bills loss to the Jets. It’s day to day with fans especially on this board. They expect QBs to be perfect every single week and all it takes is one bad game from a QB for some bozo fan to claim they suck. You must be that type of fan to come up with a thread like this. Lol

Couldn't be more the polar opposite, I sorry that I did a poor job of articulating and confused you.

I don't like it, but it's freedom of speech, as opposed to instigating, or "taunting".

Most fans don't watch other teams so they are ignorant. They see a full cowboy game and all Daks Good and Bad throws. They only see NFL highlights of the other QBs. I'm not a Dak hater or fanboy. He is what he is, a slightly above average QB and that to me is sufficient to get the job done. In comparison I think Josh Allen is better/more gifted than Dak. But I see things that Josh Allen gets away with (i.e. double clutching before a pass) that Dak can't. Because of arm strength Josh can double clutch and still the ball can get to where it needs to when it needs to. If Dak does that it goes behind the receiver.

I would say:

Josh Allen is an elite QB, if not the best

Dak Prescott is a great QB, but not elite.

why do you think Allen is elite and Dak isn’t? That’s the simplest answer for the double standard. Football isn’t difficult to understand, nuance is. And i’m not sure you and nuance have been formally introduced

After the season opener for the Bills versus the Rams and their second game versus the Titans, people on this board praised Josh Allen as if he could never do any wrong barring injury.

I am just curious if after that 18 of 34 for 205, 2 pick game he lost yesterday against a team who was a double digit division underdog, I wonder if those people feel the same way about ole Josh today.

Dare I say it but what if Dak did the same against the G-Giants, Eagles or Commanders given a similar situation. By the way, why isn't Aaron Rogers not elevating the players around him? I know Tom is old as hades and he has a plethora of skins on the wall, but it seems to me he's struggling mightily. Did you see that emotional hug between him and Leftwich after they squeaked out that win yesterday? All I'm saying is, winning in the NFL on a consistent level ain't as easy as the highly sometimes biased and negative talking points some of us make on this board.

My old coach told us after we lost to a much inferior team that lucky teams can beat a good team any day...he'd rather us give our all and be lucky and win, than to be good and lose. That always stuck with me....

I made a thread similar to this early last year. I’m thoroughly embarassed about it now, and I didn’t get to see what Allen and Dak have done since then.

Allen has been extremely good, but he needs a couple more years of being extremely good, under less than stellar circumstances to be elite, IMO.
