Wants out of Cleveland for a new deal.

What would you trade for him?

He's a gamebreaker..

Discuss.

u certainly have a fetish for returners

wut happened to Roscoe the Racing Racoon?

I have to admit, I'm interested. Not just for the returner .. although that would be nice. But he's underrated as a WR ... the Cleveland coaching staff was too stupid to use him until the final month of the season, and the Browns QBs were too inaccurate to get him the ball on the run.

I've been wanting a speedy big play dynamic from our slot WR that could complement the talents of our big body WRs. Cribbs is maybe the most electric player in football with the ball in his hands. Let Romo hit him in the middle of the field on crossing routes that Crayton currently feasts on while teams are double teaming Witten. Also, he's just 26, so he's going to still be good through the remainder of his next contract.

He is a player. He and the rest of those guys could have easily packed it in and gave in to the frustration of having the two worst QBs in the league leading them. He went out there and did everything and anything he could to help them win games. You have to like that kind of attitude in a player in addition to being a good athlete.

I don't know what they would want, but he would be a good addition to any team. That means the Pats will end with him since they have multiple early round draft picks to play around with for trades.

3rd rounder. Never happen but I'd dish a 3rd.

Dude has made a believer out of me.

It's going to be interesting to see what happens.

Wonder what Holmgren will do. They're stupid for not paying him.

I bet Holmgren takes the pick from somebody. That team NEEDS a lot and a dynamic returner is more of a luxury than an absolute need.

I would think Holmgren is going to want thinks to be his way from the get go. Wouldn't shock me if there is a lot of turnover in Cleveland.

NFL.com has a decent article on it.

Guess they tried to lowball the piss out of him and he has absolutely no interest in hearing them come back with another offer.

Suppose you are able to sign him. What the hell would you pay him? Whats the market even like for a player like this?

I'd love to see him with a Star. Maybe Holmgren will try and trade him.

Well, Devin Hester is currently making $41 million over four years ($10.25/yr.), signed in summer of 2008, when he was officially promoted to starting receiver.

Cribbs is still working his 6-year rookie deal, paying him about $1.2/year.

I read that Cleveland offered him something fairly incentive-laden, but the base salary was in the $1.5 range ... I don't blame him for passing on that.

I'd love to have a player like him here for the return game, the slot position, and then he can do some Wild Cat type stuff for you as well. He's a big time playmaker. I'd love to have him.

The price, however, would be steep between whatever you had to give up in draft picks to trade for him and then the contract you'd have to give him. It would possibly worth it though.

He's been in the league 5yrs now, and basically shown nothing as a receiver. He just doesnt have the route running skill or the hands.

He's a dynamite return guy, but no return guy is worth what he supposedly wants, and he makes some plays from that wildcat junk, but thats a formation and play I'd rather see us do away with, not run more of.

I'll trade either CB Newman or WR Roy Williams.

Lol, why?

Roy W. makes sense, a CB that steps up to all challenges when his number is called upon does not.
