He's been in the league 5yrs now, and basically shown nothing as a receiver. He just doesnt have the route running skill or the hands.
He's a dynamite return guy, but no return guy is worth what he supposedly wants, and he makes some plays from that wildcat junk, but thats a formation and play I'd rather see us do away with, not run more of.
That's the issue I have here as well. I know he's a dynamic player, but I don't know that he's a dynamic receiver. Granted, I don't watch a lot of Browns games (who does?), so I could be off. But I'm reluctant to say we should exchange a productive, reliable guy like Crayton for a potentially explosive but unreliable Cribbs.
So much of his offensive value comes out of the wildcat, but let's be real he's able to run that so much in Cleveland because they have no QB. From what I've seen, that's their running joke that they have no O until he starts playing QB. Here, the less Romo is behind center the worse off we are. Last thing I'd ever want is to acquire a player with the intention of him sending Romo to the bench, or out to receiver, for five or so plays a game.
And I don't know a return man is worth the picks it'd take to get him, much less the accompanying contract.
