If we must draft a corner then that is who I want.

He is a perfect scheme fit.

Any details as to why you like him so much? I know the name not so much the talent.

Just that he is big and physical and seems to play the ball well in the air.

I think he'll kill it as a zone guy in the NFL.

And you know this how?

To be honest, I do not even know if the team knows what players fit the scheme. When you have a bunch of man press corners trying to play zone, that does not inspire a lot of confidence that everyone is on the same page.

As far as Shaw goes, he looks uncomfortable at CB. Safety might end up being his best position.

I think his best fit is at FS as well. Although if we are committed to zone he would be a good fit at CB, just not sure what we are doing with our coverage scheme at this point. Either way I like him a lot. He can be an immediate contributor in sub packages and be groomed into our FS. Secondary players who are 6' 200 lbs and run a 4.4 40 arent easy to come by. If it wasn't for his lying incident I think he'd be shooting up draft boards just like Eric Rowe is. They are very similar players

I don't know about scheme fit per se, but I like big, fast, athletic CBs that like to hit people.

Not me. I prefer small, slow, unathletic CBs that shy away from contact. I guess it just shows how everyone has different preferences.

Honestly I was hoping the Cowboys next FS was playing at FSU in the fall, Jalen Ramsey.

This team is so irritating to evaluate CBs for. Its almost impossible to know which DBs will be better suited for the scheme. Early last season they played a ton of zone and the CBs didn't perform as well. Later in the season, they switched to a much more man coverage based scheme and performed better. It's difficult to know whether they will continue with a man based scheme or not and it affects which CBs I would and where.

As far as Shaw goes, I see him as a FS. I think he could play some CB, but FS will be his best position.
