Steve Tisch: 'It's complicated' with Jason Pierre-Paul

Jason Pierre-Paul's situation in New York remains murky after the pass-rusher had his right index finger amputated following a fireworks accident earlier this month.

I'm sorry to say, there's nothing new," Giants co-owner Steve Tisch said Thursday, via Newsday.

Questions abound about JPP medically and his future with Big Blue.

"It's been printed and it's very sincere: Above anything else I hope he's healing," Tisch said. "I hope he will play great football in the future. I hope he's getting the best medical care available to him and I really personally and from my position with the Giants wish him all the best and I look forward to seeing him sooner than later.

Its been POINTED out it that it is a serious injury. But the POINT is I hope he recovers and has a normal life. I hope if he falls on hard times he doesn't resort to five...er four finger discounts with that hand.

He still hasn't met with Giants officials or doctors. Sounds worse than he's letting on.

Yeah, he really lost all his leverage. What an unlucky month. He declines a pretty solid offer, then he blows his fingers off, then he wants the Giants to maintain the original offer despite him being uncooperative and keeping them in the dark. He really screwed himself even beyond the fireworks incident. Who is advising this guy?
