Keep in mind........JT Watts is in his 8th year ( age 29) vs Parsons is in his 4th year ( age 25 ). In other words, Parsons's career stats in 4 years are almost identical to JT's 8 years. I know he has his critics, especially among Cowboy fans, and some want him gone but it's hard to deny he has had a remarkable career so far.

FYI.........JT's and Parsons postseason???

Has T.J. Watt ever played in a playoff game?

Watt has had 6 solo tackles, 2 assists, 1.0 sack and 1 fumble recovery in 3 games in the playoffs in his career.

How many playoff games has Micah Parsons played in?

Micah Parsons has had 8 solo tackles, 10 assists and 1.0 sack in 4 games in the playoffs in his career

Sturm is a dunce on this one. So, in 8 less games than Micah, Watt still managed to register more sacks, INTs, FFs, and FRs and were acting like this is close?

I would agree that it's pretty close. Watt wins in most of the counting stats, Parsons wins in most of the advanced metrics. The big difference to me and where I give the advantage to Watt is that hes a more natural fit in the run game where Parsons is a pretty average player. You also have a grey area where Watt really fits into that 3-4 EDGE player perfectly, Parsons is in a little more of an unnatural scheme fit.

Watt is the much better DE as he also disrupts the run game and is able to set the edge. Parsons may be the best 1-1 pass rusher in the NFL, but overall, he’s not close to being the best DE.

Umm…what? Maybe you’re suggesting Micah is on the same pace through 4 years to match Watt’s production in 8 years - in which case you need to reword this, because his 3 year totals are nowhere near Watt’s career numbers.

Silly debate. They are both awesome players. But blame McClay on missing out on him. He was a tweaner and he loved Taco’s length from what I remember……

I think this is coming up because Micah has been relatively quiet this year. Maybe it's the way he is being used by Zimmer. Or maybe it's because the Cowboys do not have anyone on the DL to demand attention from blockers. But I remember seeing the pass rushing stats for the league leaders last year and Micah was double teams the most in the league more than twice the rate Watt was double teamed. To me, that is an important stat line. Watt also has the benefit of playing with the best DT in the league and another outside pass rusher on the opposite side. This year Micah is basically by himself. The Giants, for example, had two offensive linemen keeping an eye on Micah. If the Cowboys had Heyward inside, they couldn't do that because Heyward needs a double team too.

I am not saying Micah is better than Watt. They are really two different players. But I will say the "Micah sucks" talk is stupid.

TJ is clearly better. His impact on the game is far superior. Also, he doesnt go MIA in the playoffs
? They seem nearly identical to me, and tbh i think the steelers have had a better dline/scheme than weve had.

TJ Watt has had 6 solo tackles, 2 assists, 1.0 sack and 1 fumble recovery in 3 games in the playoffs

Micah Parsons has had 8 solo tackles, 10 assists and 1.0 sack in 4 games in the playoffs

In addition to that I would add that the Cowboys have largely been playing from behind this year so teams have been pounding the ball. The Ravens and Saints only combined for maybe 30 or so pass attempts between the two games? His pressure rates are still in line with his career average, so the sacks should come as he gets more snaps and hopefully Dallas gets more of those 3rd and long situations.
