Must have been his rookie year. Don't see much of that now.
I think this year cause of the defense having to go through a new scheme its affecting him.

Some of the biggest complaints on him are that hes worn out towards the end of the year, maybe hes seen that and is trying to save himself for that?
dunno just spitballing

They need to put him on a rotation. He tends to pull himself out of a game. That's nuts. He should always be on the field for an obvious pass rushing situations. No way should he be on the field for short yardage situations unless it's at the end of the game. He is not Superman. He needs a bit of rest here and there.

So when you said “facts”, you meant your uninformed opinion?

Got it
You’re comparing your man Watt’s prime with Micah’s first 4 years. And his first year he played MLB quite a bit, If I remember correctly.

As I said. Watt is almost 30 with some injuries. I’m informed enough to know most GMs don’t love that.

Ah, analyzing three games instead of the larger set of data (games). Brilliant.
That was that posters direct response to another posters talking about playoff impact of each player.

Those are the playoff games they both played and their stats for those games.

Understand?

JT Watt is wildly better than Micah as just an overall football player in all parts of the game.

Period.
Rod you're amazing on here but I think this post made you a rocket scientist!!!! Great post!!!

So now let's compare apples to apples. After all Watts has been in this league twice as long as Parsons. Is it fair to compare Parsons to Watts when the lengths of their careers are greatly uneven?

Parsons has been in this leagued for 3 complete seasons and 5 games this season. In this time period he has played in 54 games while collecting 41.5 sacks, 227 combined sacks, and 7 forced fumbles.

After three full seasons and 5 games, Watts had 38.5 sacks, 182 combined sacks, and 15 forced fumbles.

Parsons also scored a TD in that time period. Watts didn't score until the playoffs of his 6th season.

However, the real issue is, how are they contributing right now?

Watts gets the win today.

Say what you want about comparisons and no discredit to TJ Watt......but if Micah went against TSteele?.......we're talking 3 sacks and several holding calls, easily.
